When I went back to pick up the car he stated that no only fairmont/Ghia models had the illuminated switches because there was a module that it different to the XR's and if I wanted that module would cost me $1800. I poped the switches to see cause it bugged me and I found a sealed switch that had no hope of lighting it up. Would be interested to see if the Fairmont ones light up. The windows are actually hooked to the anode ( pos ) side of the LED if you are doing the single switch its the top right hand contact. Now if you look at the PC board you will see a small hole in about the middle to the left hand side of the board. This is where you have to install a new pronge to get it to the connector. You can see where to hook it as it is the only free wire from memory. It also lines up with the hole. I used aluminium to do this. And this is what I soldiered the resistor to.
