Posted 25/02/05 04:45 AM Share Posted 25/02/05 04:45 AM My SP9000's are the worst tyres I have ever driven on! I have had a 4 wheel alignment done twice, filled to 38psi all round with nitrogen and they make more noise, tramline and squeel more than anything I have had. I had Dunlop W10's a few years back on my modded SSS hatch and they were awsome, now been superseded by Fm910's I think. My next tyre puchase is going to be expensive as I am going for the Michelen Pilot Sport. A mate of mine took me for a spin in an M3 a while back and the things just stick to the road like glue. No squeeling or any of the crap I put up with day to day to day to day etc.....BTW I have noticed a big difference in the ride and handling of my car since I had the nitrogen put in the tyres. They were badly scrubbed on the outside front. My Tyre specialist asked my about my driving habits and after hearing of my penchant for 'brisk' driving on winding mountain roads, he suggested that I had been running the pressures way too low at near the placard 'normal pressure of 32 - 32. He recomended 40 - 38 and rotating the tyres every 8000km. I will be keeping a close eye on things to see how this goes. Not much of a problem during the summer though as most of my running is straight and flat (out) Winter and the mountain roads will be interesting Professor Ratbaggy
