They belong on sports cars with the technology such as mercedes has.

Are you telling me that a 32 valve quad cam v8 is not technology :fool:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

The technology I am refering to is the proximity sensor!! Not the engine.

IMO they are gimicy tacky and pointless.

I cant think of anything more stupid then the FPV startor button. Why on earth would you want to place keys in ignition turn to on position then press startor button.  :pooh:  :fool:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Its part of the package that Fpv are providing to make it a little bit different than the rest, its a bit like saying whats the point of having a side skirt on a XR compared to an XT does that make it gimiky tacky and pointless :pinch:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Um not really. The starter button is useless and sideskirts add to the look of the car. If the startor button functioned without the turning of the key I might accept it!! You don't need to get defensive, im not bagging your car just the starter button. If anyone doesnt see how it wouldnt be a pain in the rectum please shed some light!!

Ford need to concentrate on build quality rather than bloody starter buttons :pinch:

At the end of the day the top of the range FPV cars have the same interior more or less as the XT Taxi. Poor effort, IMO

On the topic of starter button - What happens when you press the starter button when the engine is on and you are in motion?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Car keeps going, but stereo and other crap turns off momentarily... :pinch:

Steve, I take it you mean auto as in car. Yep very happy indeed. For a stocker it goes pretty hard really suprised me as I got straight out my stock T into the Phoon. Completely different car to drive to the T. Being a manual also a lot of fun :fool:

Mods begin in precisely 2278ks :pinch: I am seriously considering an edit till the Phoons get some more road time and Ks to see what warranty issues crop up.
