Fpv Starter Buttons

I started the thread about the starter buttons and got some pretty confusing results. This poll will help hopefully

With the rolling code immobilizer and locking system driven by a remote control dongle, perhaps the question is whether we need a key, as opposed to whether we need a starter button?

I think it is dumb to have to insert and turn the key, then press the button.

In the current setup, I would not option it even if it was no cost.

it would be cool if there was a pin code to punch in then press a button

By unlocking the car you have already entered a PIN into the body computer. (The PIN also changes every time you use the dongle.)

All that is left, is to let the car know when you are ready to start the engine.

There is also a transponder in the key that is used for authentication when the key is within proximity of the ignition barrel before allowing the vehicle to start.
