I had the car resprayed, complete velour interior, disc brake 9", 302C with a 4-speed single-rail gbox. I spent more money modifying this car than any of the others. Best times are 9.91 secs @ 132 mph. I have raced this thing at Willowbank, Calder, Heathcote, ECR, WSID, Canberra, Nowra, Cowra, Wellington and Gunnedah. Block was bored slightly oversize. It was a 4 speed Borg Warner box and the best time ( still got my time slips ) was a 15.01.The Torana was a mildy worked 253.Luke. I didnt sell the car t'll my late 20's and just kept it as my weekend car.The only problem was it was over powered ( Centuras were designed as 4Cyl's) and it kept throwing trailing arm bushes which were a to replace.
