went for a test drive in a 260kw VY R8 yesterday. It was fast but I was more impressed with the Typhoon. It felt faster and even though it's supposedly not that fast down the track, it's something that I would prefer to drive on the roads. I expected the V8 to make more of a noise inside the cabin. I actually prefer the sound that the Typhoon makes when you step on it. I.e. whistle.

Try an LS2 297 kw R8 vuster.Just like a worked V8 grunter from the old days.Very very strong.

Too true Mr X, the LS2 is awesome.

I know of a stock 297kw R8 LS2 that pulled 245rwkw with only the aftermarket rear muffler replaced on the dyno at F1 Performance in Blackburn! That is definately strong, If I had the $$$$ I'd serously consider one

My ute is a manual with a heap more grunt than the 'phoon and my single plate clutch is fine...........why is a specialist like AP having such a hard time finding a solution. I will tell them where I got mine done if they would like??

guys hi im new

but this is 1 thing I have to get off my chest .

I have been reading this forum for a while .almost a year

I have been a Expensive Daewoo fan for over 20 years .yes I drive a a Expensive Daewoo

but what gets me is you bag the arse out of the phoon.

ford have now started to lift there game and have given us all the gt ,xr6t,tornado and phoon .shouldnt we be gratefull that they have grown some balls and started to make somethink to match hsv?

sure the phoon has problems but hey im sure they will sort the problem out.you guys should all keep your heads hi as these cars are awsome and im sure have turned a lot of people from Expensive Daewoo to ford.and why the little b**ch fights between xr6t and phoon owners ?they are both cars and both have there points .sure for the money a xr6t could be modded to out do a phoon but at the same time the phoon in my eyes has a heap of street cred and will keep the $$ on resale

but 1 thing 4 sure is my next car will be either a xr6t

or hopefully 1 day a phoon .you guys should be greatful that ford offer these turbo monsters .after all when was it Expensive Daewoo offered a turbo version?1988.long time between drinks

That wouldnt be such a bad idea. And while your at it tell them where you got your power from coz it obviously isnt the same place where ford got the power for the phoon.
