Some would have you believe that for a pound of fuel you get a pound of power and that is it FULL STOP.

Well f@rkkkkkkkkkkkk me there is many ways to get more than a pound of power from that same pound of fuel and even the dumbest members here are having their intelligence INSULTED by some pushing the same old crap every day every week.

Everyone knows WHY we run cold air kits?

Everyone knows WHY we fit Bigger Intercoolers?

Everyone knows WHY we change the exhaust system?

3 basic mods that all produce power gains without more fuel that we can all understand?

Then we venture into the not so simple world and the use different types of engine management and benders and twisters etc to fool or manipulate the engine management even further which starts to get beyond a large majority of forum members and as such some would try and baffle you with bullsh!it.

Thinking outside the envelope is one thing and having equipment to produce gains is another. Add the two together and you can twist and manipulate the rules of physics. If we didn’t, we would all be driving the same cars with the same output.

The way I see it is quite simple and that is each has its advantages and disadvantages and looking at the EMS it appears not only to Drive the injectors but drives the timing far more than any other as well it can even drive the throttle or 2 camshafts independently. Somewhat different to most others which tend to do more bending and twisting than controlling.

Having the luxury to manipulate these items independently should produce far better results than the standard piggyback in my opinion and it should be very easy to understand if you look outside the box.

An example of controlling direct as opposed to bending is starting to produce some excellent results as can be seen with the current Edit that is showing better and better results every day as different tuners add their personal touch to them.

I can understand some of the scepticism but for F@arkkkkk sake its 2005 and time for some to wake up and smell the Roses…………. :spoton:

I'm glad you said should as currently the fastest/quickest XR6T cars in Australia run interceptors style piggy back computers, FACT. :spoton:

1) Cand V performance 10.98 APS Phase 3 Unichip computer

2) APS XR6t ute 11.35 APS Phase 3 Unichip computer

3) Geea XR6T sedan 11.6 Xede computer

4) XRdreaming ute 11.7 APS phase 3 Unichip computer

Martin we dyno tested the edit tuned T for the customer, the tune was a CAPA supplied edit as far as I understand, gee the air/fuel ratios were very ugly and on the lean side of safe. :spoton: Peter

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

that's how I know its a fib Pete, we shut the boost down at an achieved AFR of 12.2:1, as any edit customer will tell you. (And as any graph posted here will show you)

We dont guess it Pete, as you would know we command it with the SCT software, not guess it with the piggyback....so......post the graph, or dont bother us with the slander...ok?

I haven't told everyone about the three poorly tuned Unichip experiences I had this week which I corrected with Edit, but if you want.........I will. BUT I dont see the reason to start a war, you must have enough of your own fires to put out. So...LEAVE ME OUT...or the dyno sheets will be coming, and the cheersquad will not be pleased. Remember you fired the first shot.

lol. I once remembered a long time ago old forum members of LS1.COM sprouting about piggy-backed LS1's being the fastest in Australia. Guess what, they're all long gone now thanks to the conception of LS1 Edit, Flashscan, Dicks Electronics (not Dick Smith ;) ) and HP Tuners.

Now all the fastest LS1's run factory PCM's :spoton:

So too will the Falcons

Some of the boost to power ratios being quoted are technically not possible.

No tuners have stated what advance they are running. This is just as relevant as boost, A/F ratio.

Dynowog, a question. The EMS 8860 (and I'm sure the stinger) has a green bar on the tuning screen for Injector Capacity (I.e duty cycle) . Do you ever look at this and if so does your bar venture into the red zone with the high power runs you do with a stock fuel system??

Oops!! I clicked on 280-320rwkws. Then I read the question again. I'm not using standard injectors. If a mod can remove my vote it will be a more accurate poll. Sorry!!

and not to mention bragging about 9.3sec on thef quater with a twin turbo and now a sigle is doing 8 sec pass

I think the thing here is when there is a good product thaxt hits the market like edit ,instead of bagging sh*t over it and say it is a good option for it owe T's ...peter has to bag sh*t over it ....my point is when you have a person that brags so much peolpe get to the point and looks forward to there fall ...like the poppy syndrome

I believe thfe way peter conducts him self not as a APS dealer but as a person gets under the skin of people because I have witnessed this on many a forum
