that's great power you got from edit 390+rwkw but your mph was only 115mph ???

I would have thought it would be around the 124mph at least

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

That 115mph was with the little piggy still twitched into the loom

and it went "weee....weee....weeeee" all the way home.

You know what they say.

This little piggy went to market

This little piggy went to stall

This little piggy pinged its *beep* off, and ended up chucked at the wall

My poetry for the day

With a $6k price different between edit and motec you really think you are going to get that much more power from cam control ??

Cheers

Give it a couple of weeks and we will have full independent cam control (rather than paired control) sorted. Its just that the code for this isnt populated in the earlier versions of the program. However from my testing, with stock cams, Ford would seem to have their cam mapping fairly close to optimum.

There is no reason to use a Motec on these cars now. It has less than 1/3rd the parameters of the stock PCM, so you do the sums :)

Did you know one of Nizpro's motec customers is selling there motec to go to edit ??

Adam,

I have been a supporter of the 'edit' since day 1. If down the track I find the edit is better than the Motec I'll possibly sell the Motec and changeover to the edit.

There are only 2 Nizpro Motec Ford BA customers, and I've just spoken to the other one, and he's not selling his Motec, but like me, may in the future if the edit works.

At the moment, for my configuration, with large turbo, cams & injectors, the Motec works well, and for me the independent cam timing is mandatory. At this stage it's an unknown how well the edit would work with my new Stage 5, and I can't have more delays (I haven't had my car for over 4 months!).

Nizpro are building a new Stage 4, with mild cams and revised turbo, and the edit should work fine with that package.

Brian
