I recall going to the Herrod demo night a few months ago, when they showed off the then new Flash Tuner. I saw them too make 250rwkw on a dead stock xr6T ute, 5speed - using the 10psi map. It was very concering to see AFR's of  13.5  on full noise.  :gooff:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

The 10psi map we demonstrated that night had a leanest A/F of 12.2:1 during that power run. With the stock map it was as lean as 13.5:1.

I actually made a point of explaining this to those that were listening at the time

Yeah, makes me wonder about the claims being made by APS that the stock injectors supporting only a miximum of 280kw at the flywheel.

I've been running the car with a wide band sniffer in the exhaust for a few days now and not once have I seen the AFR's creep anywhere over 12.0:1 under 5000rpm with the 10psi map during WOT. And this is with the program that made 260rwkw. In fact, some of the mid-range is so fat that it could do with leaning off from mid 11's to flat 12's to help deliver even more mid range power and torque.

It's all good with the SCT tuning box and software!

Dynawog:

I have satyed out the ongoing debate about injectors, AFRS et al and will continue to do so but I do observe that your signature on these threads is unecessarily provocative and does absolutely nothing other than provide unnecesaary provocation and devalues this forum to providing amusement as opposed to technical value. How about backing off a notch and letting issues and debate take its course.

Sure you'll understand....

I agree with dingah - no need for the signature.

When this site first started, it was a great place to gain info on mods etc, now it is turning into a siht fight everywhere.

If you have problems with others, take it to a personal arena - don't bring it into the public one.

and once somewhere, locked away deep in this thread was a guy happy with his car.....

I was just thinking the same thing, he is happy with his AFR, so is the tuner.

What gives, why bag and bring Nick into it, he wished him well. If there is a problem with Nick, take it to a PM. good advice dont you think?

Well done on the tune, your car was a healthy one before the tune, good result.
