Had a weird thing happen to me this morning.

I went to move my wifes car only to find the keyless remote would not open the doors. The light on the remote was bright, and we have had no issues in the past. I then tried my car and the same thing happened. Press the button like 60x on both remotes and NADA. :pinch:

Tried moving the remote over the bonnet and around the guards, then it opended my car. Pressed the wifes remote and bingo, it opened straight away. I have had several times in the past that my car would take 10 presses of the button to open, but this was like 5 mins of trying.

Has anyone else noticed this type of thing ?

I am thinking it is interferance, but we are not close by any transmission towers or commercial buildings, any ideas ?

Thanks

Theres a few stories on the net about the whole of Las Veagas not being able to open their cars and it was proven to be something that the military were doing. I'm not sure if it's the same here but in the good ol US of A the key's work on some military frequency and if it's used for it's intended purpose it has the effect of Jamming.

Las Vegas of course is close to the infamous Area 51 I think?

Added to that.... Were you near a transmission tower? They have a big influence on weither the keys work or not. If you have a look at many TV towers or even Telstra tower they have huge signs about what to do if your keys dont work.
