been gone for a few months only to come back to the same old ear bashing rubbish.

You know I had a plumber once who I had over to fix the gutter, he didnt do it properly so I hate every damn plumber in the world

Food for thought

I dont think this thread was intended as a bashing thread at coppers, he is worried about a speeding fine. I know what you mean about plumbers, I cop sh1t off nearly every NSW rail commuter, because I am a railway employee.

Oh HELLL, not another cop bashing thread!!! No wonder the boys in blue don't post here any more. :w00t2::pinch::glad:

I reckon you've survived this time stang. If they had got you for something they'd have pulled you straight over. :ermm:

Yeah how dare anyone not be happy with the boys in blue!!! Better close the thread now, like we do all threads where someone doesn't agree with the way the police do their job.

How can you compair the two. A cop can stuff your way of life bye booking and having you lose your liscense a plumber can't...

If it ain't bashing, then why all the insults as a response to a serious question?

For anyone that has any sort of concept of police work and what it involves it is rare for a TMU member in Victoria to intercept you for speeding unless you were exceeding the speed limit by a bigger margin than 5 km/h.

Speed cameras do not offer that discretion. Speed cameras are not even manned or operated by police in Victoria, so apples aren't being compared to apples.

stang, if you weren't pulled over, then the police member can not prove ID of the driver, therefore you won't be getting a ticket. ID is the first point of proof for any offence. Speed cameras avoid this by putting the onus on the registered owner of the vehicle to nominate who was driving.

If its a police vehicle, and you weren't stopped, no ticket.

Thanks to all the :tosser:s for their valuable input.

If the HWP officer is using a laser gun then there would be no reason to chase you because he's most probably got a reading of your speed and getting ready to step out before you even see that he's there. If you live in Western Sydney then it seems acceptable to just mow him down.

My opinion of highway police has changed. You wont believe this.

Driving from Qld to Melbourne earlier this year, I was just leaving the booming town of Goondiwindi at around 7:30am. I overtook 3 road trains in a row, and was doing about 180kph at the time.

An oncoming copper drove by, did a u-turn and pulled me over. I thought I was f*cked for sure. He asked me what speed I was doing, I told him I wasn't sure because all I wanted to do was get passed the truck brigade. He said he saw me overtake the trucks, but usually people slow down once they overtake.

With my blonde baby in the passenger seat smiling at him, I asked him to give me a break in my back luck. When he asked what I meant, I told him that I was hit on the left side of my car by a woman 6 hours earlier in Noosa. (This in fact happened 2 weeks earlier) He walked around the car and saw the damage across the entire left side of the car, including rims.. He made some general conversation about my car and must have felt sorry for me, because he let me off completely - not even a minor fine. Just a friendly reminder that I don't need to break speed records to overtake, and when I do overtake, to slow down.

That copper was a legend. I owe him my licence.

I forgot to mention. What made this even more incredible was that it was during the holiday season - double demerit points and double fines.

Needless to say, I've been a very good boy ever since.
