Ther are a few there..

Also try http://www.japanesemotorsport.com.au/ They stock a heap of GTR cores for about $880 or so. Even smaller ones which will do the job, and a few stocked no name brands.

In one of the links, there's an ARC core for about $450 which looks like it'll do the job on an XR6T very nicely.

ARC are on of the top brands and a biggun will set you back $3k+

Shop around and even a 2nd hand one in good condition will save big $$.

Wise man once said

" nothin says tough like a big *beep* off core hangin out the front bar " :w00t2:

I tend to agree..

The japs perfected turbo, it may be rice, but it's cheap and good for you. :w00t2:

Here's my fave.. 130mm thick Trust drag cooler... Pure goodness......

Um, just tell me how much power you want to require a better one than standard please.

Scotty

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

If you have a bigger intercooler, the temp drop accross the core will be more (cooler)

If the temp of the charged air drops in temp, it becomes more dense.

You will have more o2 in the cylinders and be able to squirt more fuel in there, hence, have more power..

same power, less boost.. same boost, more power.

Or, Like Turbo6 said, heat soak won't become a problem, and more reliable, consistent times will evolve.

Less restriction, more power. cooler air, more power.

The amount of power one gets is relative as to how efficiently and quickly one can get air and fuel in and out of the engine. How much air depends on alot of factors, fuel is another issue.

NOS is basically cold air. It's not flammable to the best of my knowledge..... It's a gas that makes you laugh, But if it was flammable, would the dentist let you inhale it??

Guys in dyno comps spray NOS directly on their coolers to get that air as cold as possible to make as much power as possible..

Think you will find that's CO2 (liquid nitrogen) not NO2, you will also see guys spray their intercoolers b4 a run donw the strip!

Just to clear things up

CO2 is Carbon Dioxide (As found in some fire extinguishers and would do a good cooling job)

N2 is Nitrogen (whether liquid or not)

NO2 is Nitrous Oxide (No, it's not flammable)

Cheers

What ever the following combo would produce!

Injectors

Fuel Pump

Remove Centre Muffler

Edit (CAPA or APS) Custom Tune 10PSI

Intercooler............to prevent heat issues!!

Auto Trans cooler

..........hopefuly about 260-280rwkw when tuned! Enough power for a high 12 pass in an Auto! :spoton:

I didn't know Ford made a turbo Fairmont :msm:

Dave.

what you on about knobular?

Scotty

Sorry Kockmunch, allow me to explain...I was wondering why he was so interest in all this Turbo hot-up gear when he owns a Fairmont, which to my knowlodge didn't come with a Turbo option...he explains in a later post that he is considering purchasing a Turbo ute.

make sense now Numbnuts?? :msm:

Dave.
