Bruce, good run in a manual, and good 60' time.

Were you still in 4th when you hit the line... if in 5th at what revs did you change into 5th.?

What tyres did you use?

Congrats on setting a new benchmark for a manual.

hey craig nice time, was that on street tyres or slicks, and also the manual t that did a 12.4 was street or slicks?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Both were on street tyres. Mine were Nitto NT555R's. Not sure what Bruces were.

I'm not sure how much better slicks would be though.

Craig,

C&V's 10.98 had a 1.606 60' time with slicks, so perhaps .2 secs.

Attached is their time slip.

Well if you take the rule of thumb that 1/10th over the first 60ft is worth 3/10ths to the ET then that puts Craig at about 11.02 with a 1.60 flat 60ft time.

Getting that 60ft without extra grunt though might not be easy, the C&V car had 4mph over Craigs time.

It will be interesting to see what happens come winter. I am sure there are others in the wings expecting to break 10's come winter.

I agree Dean. I don't think my MPH is showing enough power in relation to the C&V car to get close to a 10. It looks on paper that the C&V car had an extra 50rwkw's or so. I don't think my car has that in it at the moment.

I might be able to find a 1/10th or 2 in winter but I think that would be it.

I also agree that with all the serious cars being built at the moment it will be very interesting how far the times come down by the end of winter. It will also be interesting to see who else gets in the 10's.
