Well, after waiting 3 months for my new ride to arrive, I received a call from the dealership on Friday saying the car had arrived Thursday night. I'd ordered the car 30/10/04, wanting a '05 build 6 speed with premium brakes and premium audio, in Velocity.

Being excited I thought I'd take a drive to the dealership Fri morning to have a look. After scouting around with the salesman we couldn't find it - it was probably out on a test drive or something. Anyway, not having enough time to stay I left saying I have a look later in the afternoon.

Around 230pm I receive a phone call from the finance guy saying the car has arrived with all the bells and whistles, except, the car is the wrong colour. It's white!

The dealership has given me several offers:

1. They will take the car back and get another one built in the colour I want, but I won't get it until at least the end of March! I'll get a loan car until the new one arrives.

2. I take the car as it is and will probably get a rebate for the paint.

3. I can cancel the order and walk away.

It's not the colour I wanted but won't wait another 7 - 8 weeks for the car to arrive in the right colour. I think I'll take the car in white, get the rebate for the difference in price of the paint and squeeze a couple of free services out of them.

I can't believe the factory screwed up so badly with the order :spoton: clowns

Sorry to hear the Ford guys stuffed up some of there dealers they just dont seem to give a :spoton: anymore. I have seen a few white Ts and they look quite good But if you really want the colour you were after tell them you would like a demo T till the right one arrives. Have fun in one of theirs anyway hope what ever you decide that you are happy with it and enjoy your ride

take the loaner, settle for nothing less than a T, 8 or GT.

Wait the 8 weeks but ensure you get some extra goodies for this utter fcukup. They made the error, make them pay.

TAKE THE WHITE.... it sounds bland but looks awesome in the T!! dont let them just rebate you for the difference in paint... telll them you want a heap extras (make a list).... and If they dont agree to the options listed by you walk away... you have nothing to lose. I recogn you should hit them up for $1500 in extras, and if you do you might get $1000.

If you order a new one it will take x amount of time.... so may as well try to make a few bucks on this one by saying you want more goodies as you have been inconvenienced.... after all if they say no, you can walk into another dealership and get the car you want in the same time these clowns would get it for you :spoton:

Did the 'salesman' say that? :gooff:

Someone out test driving my new car.......secondhand price thanks. :gooff:

Take a loaner and wait or you'll regret not gettin what you wanted in the first place. :spoton:

Then never set foot in that dealership again. :msm:

imho I'd take the white and screw them on price, accessories and get the 5 year warranty thrown in as well. They have screwed you round so go get stuck into them. A mate has one in white and they look very very nice! Whatever you decide, kick up a stink :spoton:
