Aidan,

I had the same problem back when the car was stock and only had 3000k. Check the rubber seal that connects the crossover pipe to the throttle body. They are prone to move or leak. If you are running higher boost than stock it will be the first place that I would look.

Fixed mine :w00t2:

I had the same problem after I got it back from ford with the stalling problem. The idiots forgot to tighten the piping to the throttle body, so you probably have a loose connection somewhere.

And by the way they wouldn't touch it unless it was converted back to standard.

Macka,

I checled this Rubber seal and it had no cracks. I tightened securley and tightened every hose in the car.

Still same problem.... :spit: What I have noticed is the sound is now intermittent.

For example driving to work today it was not there, but tonight it might be

And Yes its definatly not a normal sound. Its not turbo spooling up or that rushing air sound (which has become louder since fitting 2nd CAI)

Did you completely remove the crossover and check, then refit.

If you did, it's worth the effort anyway :w00t2: as Ford assembly QA needs some improving.

Have you tried blocking of the second intake to see if it goes away or is still there.

I noticed my turbo whistle louder as the kms go higher...I donno if that's what your refering to...

Dave.

Mine has done this too.

55,000 now and the whistle when boost is building is very noticeable.

I have chopped extra holes in the airbox. BOV is very audible as well.

It's all good :spoton:
