Replaced my tyres today at the grand old age of 55000 km! (Dunlop SP3000s). Admittedly 90% of my driving is between Syd and Canberra however, in the city I tend to drive like a complete B@stard. I certainly never expected them to last that long, what the hell is wrong with me?

Has anyone else been more pathetic that this effort?

Is there somewhere I can go for counselling?

Do they run courses on how to be harder on your tyres?

What colour blouse should I wear?

I got about 43k out of my sp9000s, mainly due to the good roads between Geelong and Melbourne (done daily)... all other times I gavem hell :D :crybaby:

I've got Falkens on them now and expect to wear them out quicker as I suspect they just aren't up to the standard of the dunlops (based on my rigorous testing ;) )

Dad got about 60,000 out of the 16" Michelin Pilots (or something) on his EB XR8...but then again he is 70. One was badly out of shape though. Sounded like a dodgy wheel bearing...Whirr Whirr Whirr...

Having said that, when I finally got access to it, the tires went down a bit quicker :crybaby:

I'm on 52000k's and still have the original 17" SP3000's fitted :crybaby:

Due to be replaced in the next 2-3000k's so around 55000 is about right for mainly city use, with the occational bit of "spirited driving".

I will be replacing the SP3000's with the same, as I am very happy with their performance, and my only comment is that they are a bit noisy, but I think I can live with that. :pinch:
