Guest mercurysteve Guests Posted 08/02/05 09:52 PM Share Posted 08/02/05 09:52 PM Try this link, this is the one I am going to get. Looks like a stock clock, until you take a second look. The housing is staight off the latest Fairlane apparently and there are other gauges that will fit. Looks stock enough to me. http://www.xr6-turbo.com.au/xr6turbo.html

The standard ones are really sh*t, actually I would go as far as to say they are useless!!! You can get autometer gauges to fit that have a black carbin fibre background and silver outer edge. Fella a work with has an F6 and he is pissin off the std gauges for these.Yeah ive just bought the autometer gauges and they look fantastic, certainly you pay what you get for and in this case its quality. At around $150 per gauge its not cheap but yeah... Its on the SS inductions gauge holder which now comes in a new colour (matalic grey) which matches the rest of the dash.Rob...Got some pisc Rob. I'm sitll not sure about the SS Pod I think the screw plugs on the top make it look cheap. I don't understand why they carn't make it clip in like the FPV One, they'd sell twice as many I reckon. No problems, I'll take some snaps for ya soon...Rob...Here ya go...a little blurry Rob... Later models of the GTR already have this feature. It allows you to have access to all sorts of information that you may not use often, without filling your cockpit will lots of gauges. If I recall correctly the GTR had all types of interesting but rarely used information that could be output to the screen, like injector cycles and turbo temps.I would be interested if G-Tech outputs could be displayed the same way.Of course there is nothing like having exactly the tool, or the information, or the button you want - directly accessible right there in front of you for instant use. Having to dive down through several levels of menu through a multipurpose screen can be overdone too - as BMW has shown with iDrive. regards aa Edited 12/02/05 03:13 AM by aiboart
