This is about sct not being stealth not about who does what better go and find some where else to do that.

Like in street tuners section.

that's right he can't even donate to site but still rips it up our members.

Time for back on topic.

The question that needs anwsering is if the dealer reflashes the computor is the sct edit still going to be right for the car or will it need a new custome tune.

At 118mph on my 3rd run ever? Lets see you do that tuna. Perhaps you should stick to tuning cars rather than putting sh!t on people who only state the facts about your product

FACT: My car runs great with the EDIT

Geeseman your name says it all: GOOSE :pinch:

  Why are SOME of the piggyback boys so sh*tty about the EDIT

And the fuss about donating,I see some NON donating members hang sh*t on CAPA and street tuner :pinch: makes me wonder!!!!!!

Don't get your knickers in a knot boy. I'm not saying every car that uses it has problems, just the one I was replying to. If you read his post he said 'bye bye piggyback's yet he is only making 199rwkw with his. Doesn't make sense does it? :w00t2: If he is gonna make comments like that then he should expect some feedback :w00t2: But then he does it all the time. :w00t2:

GOLDIE is right we should get back to discussing the stealth factor of the edit, even though its uses in this regard are unethical in the minds of those who chose to mod and accept the responsibility of doing so :w00t2:

Ethics, where does ethics come into it. I would think it comes down to what best suits the individual and his/her car. I am going to mod my T shortly ( aiming for 250rwkw ) and my preference is for covert tuning that does involve hacking my wiring looms. And yes, my preference is for Ford to not know about it.

I hope edit, regardless of brand or tuner, lets me achieve that.

Spent $12k more running 10psi more and 120 rwklw more and only 0.8 quicker :w00t2:  :w00t2: and NO warranty

As for warranty, I don't need it. My car is tuned in real time to avoid detonation, surging etc. I also run good fuel so I won't be blowing up my engine anytime soon

Funny you mention that as I was running a APS UNICHIP which had Vortex 95 premium unleaded with nulon octane booster in it when the car detonated :w00t2:

SO MUCH FOR PIGGYBACK'S AND REAL TIME TUNING A :w00t2::w00t2:

Last post regarding this as I could'nt be bothered I've got three kid's and rather be watching the wiggles and drinking pinneapple juice with

My point is that if someone mods their car then has a fault with it and claims warranty on it it will ultimately affect the warranty costs for ford (if the faults were a result of the extra power in the car) which affects the retail price of the car. Warranty is provided for consumers who dont change the power output of the vehicle.

That would be an issue if the car was tuned to 98ron fuel and if the vortex you put it in was poor fuel which was most probably the case.

I recently had slight detonation when running a different type of fuel. I bled the tank and replaced it and all is ok. Up to that point Ive never had trouble with detonation and I have a unichip tuned by your old tuner. So, fat chance it had anything to do with the tuner or chip :w00t2:

Either way, flogging the car whilst it is detonating is asking for trouble. :w00t2:

where does it say that the edit is only making 199rwkws? surely something would have to be wrong or that the T was seriously under power...

where dammit!?

I have a question... the XR6T is fitted with knock sensors, yet a few of you guys said that you were geting detonation.

Does this mean that the Unichip also affects the engine computers ability to retard the timing in order to avoid detonation? I would be very worried if this was the case.

Im assuming the SCT method of direct PCM flashing would not have this problem.
