Geeseman, seems to me you've been fed and ingested so much propaganda that you have become a believer in something you know nothing about.

C'mon guys this is getting boring. Geeseman's car ran a 118mph.

Now my 11.7 was run at 119.05 mph so his car has every bit of power he claims, he just doesn't have the experience to use it at the track that I have.

Geea runs around the 120mph as well.

Now back to the edit, it sounds as though if you flash your standard tune back into it before you go in for a service then the dealer won't be able to tell.

Now ethics is a topic I will stand well clear of, I wouldn't lie and didn't when my engine blew so I can back that up. But if other people choose to it is your decision to make and if you can get away with it then good luck.

The edit should be more focused on providing a wider range of modification options and not on defrauding the Ford motor company.

I will use the edit to mod my auto setup in time so I will let you all know how it goes.

I have a question... the XR6T is fitted with knock sensors, yet a few of you guys said that you were geting detonation.

Does this mean that the Unichip also affects the engine computers ability to retard the timing in order to avoid detonation?  I would be very worried if this was the case.

Im assuming the SCT method of direct PCM flashing would not have this problem.

dw....yes sounds that way

dw.... I'd say no as both unichip/xede both give or take from std figgure! eg std 20deg +2=22 det/knock retard std 16deg+1.6=17.6 etc. so it would still retard acordingly?

Im assuming the SCT method of direct PCM flashing would not have this problem.

dw....it seems some do especially in sunny qld there is a guy who posted his sheets and stated he had knock on both 8 and 10 psi maps!!

My experience with it, and it has only happened once, is that it happened under full accelleration in 3rd gear, more specifically on the strip when I ran. Perhaps heat could have been a contributing factor (Im soon to fit an oil cooler but am already running aps intercooler). I had surging across the rpm range when I filled the tank which was 2 days before the event. Have bled it and since then havent had a repeat problem. Should have used octane booster beforehand but didnt think of it.

My second car, a civic, has it often under hard accelleration. I think the fuel in sydney is often of very poor quality even the 98 stuff. Try to find a good servo and stick with it methinks :spoton:

What? Your statement makes no sense :spoton:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I don't disagree that you car is fast geeseman, which is great, nothing wrong with that or what you have acheived.

Was reading your post about real time tuning, from which I came up with my statement. Real time tuning beats edit...sorry buddy, that's where the ingestion of propaganda comes into play.
