I came across this scenario when I asked my local Ford dealer (Herrod agent) to replace my warped rotors with DBA slotted. They ummed and ahhd and said they wouldn't do it, they dont modify cars and they would only replace with standard rotors. I said I'll supply them but I think you should fit them for free becauase it's Ford's fault they are warped. They ummed and ahhd for a while longer until I popinted out that it would cost them less money/time because I wouldn't need to come back every couple of months and get the discs remachined/replaced. They eventually came around to my way of thinking but it took a while. Hey Falchoon, my dealer just machined my rotors and fitted new pads and machined my flywheel and fitted a new clutch all for Free. I supplied the pads and clutch, as they agreed I would be better off fitting these than re-fitting the ford stuff.Sorry to go off topic BTW I would'nt trust Ford as far as you could throw them, get it in writing, because they will say anything to get a sale, then when push comes to shove, forget it.JB,On what grounds did you get your clutch done.. I didnt think it was covered under warrenty... Mine is going going going - soon to be gone....Hey Blonk,Mate I supplied my own clutch they machined the flywheel and fitted it, plus machine the brakes and fitted pads that I supplied. So I paid for the pads and clutch which I got from a family memeber and they did all the work. It was all a warranty claim as the clutch was slipping, and I had just started to develop brake shudder. So I said to them instead of seeing me back again in a few months to fix the same problem, If I supply better pads and clutch would you fit them, they said yes as they would not expect to see me again by putting better components on the car. When you think about it all their doing is matching the typhoon!I have asked the question alot about mods and warranty and some dealers will let you do exhausts, so a bit more and some wont let you lower the car.I guess it comes down to the dealer, I now one guy that had an bigger intercooler fitted by Brad Garlic Ford under warranty and the mods were all through Herrods, which ford use for thier perfomance work!Check it out.Micksta.
