Yes its true, Wind ford motors at windsor are using the Herrods stelth to boost up to 10psi and is covered under warranty, but nothing else for under $1300.

The chip gives you 30-35rwkw, and it takes around 5 mins down load. :gooff:

So for the people concered about warranty, its all good, a littel exrtra grunt! With out voiding your warranty.

yeah I'd be sceptical as to whether they would give warrenty on the 10psi tune...Herrod told me that they think you can't go over 10 psi without "putting a rod out the block". So if Herrod have forwarded this information to Ford, you wouldn't think they wouldn't be prepared to warrenty it...

Dave.

Considering the realationship FORD has with herrod though, would it be true to say they wouldn't risk harming that realationship due to warranty issues coming from a herrod mod, especially coz Ford use alot of Herrod uftermarket mods for alot of sales to customers a dealrships, when requested.

Probably Herrods take over the warranty for the engine/drivetrain once their prts are fitted or maybe the dealership itself rather than FOMOCO.

I find it quite strange that you can get your car modded at a Ford dealer but in the same breath they don't condone modifications. I came across this scenario when I asked my local Ford dealer (Herrod agent) to replace my warped rotors with DBA slotted. They ummed and ahhd and said they wouldn't do it, they dont modify cars and they would only replace with standard rotors. I said I'll supply them but I think you should fit them for free becauase it's Ford's fault they are warped. They ummed and ahhd for a while longer until I popinted out that it would cost them less money/time because I wouldn't need to come back every couple of months and get the discs remachined/replaced. They eventually came around to my way of thinking but it took a while. :ermm:

micksta,

Want to buy a bridge :k24t:

If something goes really wrong, you will be paying for it out of your back pocket, because Ford will reject the claim. If you must go down this line - get it writing, after all how much is the salesmans word worth.

Hey Falchoon, my dealer just machined my rotors and fitted new pads and machined my flywheel and fitted a new clutch all for Free. I supplied the pads and clutch, as they agreed I would be better off fitting these than re-fitting the ford stuff.

Sorry to go off topic

BTW I would'nt trust Ford as far as you could throw them, get it in writing, because they will say anything to get a sale, then when push comes to shove, forget it.

I just cheched the Herrod site and as someone had previously pointed out oin another thread, Denmac Ford in Brisbane is now listed as a supplier of the Herrod Edit.

Very interesting.

I've just recently got a quote for a new T from Denmac, and they were the dealer who I had a bust-up with because they refused to update my computertator because I, "Had a chip fitted" (XEDE).

I'll now be going back to me friendly old sales mate and asking a few more yummy pertinant questions.

Mk11 with bigger brakes and EDIT....Here I come......I Hope.
