I heard that 7 out of the 150 odd built have had the clutch problem so far, presumably with more to come. Could FPV have handled the situation any worse? They are seriously tarnishing the name of Ford Australia to the public.

The GT clutch is no better, add a set of underdrive pulleys and some of the clutches start to play up, they are on there limits with a couple of mods. What is it with Ford and piss weak clutches. Ford need to bring some of the driveline engineers from the 70's back from retirement, and bring back the nine inch with them.

These are the sort of post I would expect over at Ls1.com. They must be having a field day with this thread.

I am sure FPV will sort it. HSV and Expensive Daewoo were in total denial at the time about the Gen 3 issuse (which affected some 18,000 cars)

The general tone of these posts on the F6 are doing no good TO YOUR resale values.

For the good of the cars tat you have bought give it a rest. FPV will sort it and you have nothing to gain from continual FPV bashing.

If you want help from them calling them names in public isnt the way to do it.

Dallas, didn't you sell your XR6T and bought BMW because it had so many probs?

A bit hypocritical of you to say such things if this is true!

Reported in yesterdays Brisbane Courier Mail. "CARS" section.

Cant recall exact wording but, Ford had admitted that there was a substancial problem with the Foon clutch and that every car would be upgraded as soon as a definative fix was finalised. Ford was working as fast as possible with the clutch manufacturer but thorough testing of any replacements would take some time.

The article also reported that Ford were likely to apologise to the motoring magazines that it suggested might have subjected the test cars to abuse.

Sounds like a positive move for all you Foon owners.

You'd think that, but it looks like at least one forum has grown up a bit... except when the odd ford guy drops in, then the bashing starts in ernest.

As I have said before what is so inconceviable is the fact that these players Ford, FPV & AP have years of R&D at their disposal & still we get the situation we are in now. Once again Ford/FPV could have acted more swiftly than they have but once again have dropped the ball. And before anybody decides bag me for my above comments let me just say when Ford do something positive I will be the first to put my hand up!

Just my 2c.
