Doc is right, it should have never happened, it should have been picked up in development and it is a absolute joke that FPV let this problem slip through to the Production vehicals.

BUT...

Atlest they are adressing the Problem, I would rather My car be re-called and Fixed and the problem be gone, than have a Problem and the company say there is and never has been a problem (Holden & LS1)

I don't see how you can sledge FPV for Admitting that there is a Problem and by seacing deliverys, ensuring that no other customers will have this problem.

I say shame on you FPV for letting this Problem get through to Production Vehicles... But good on you for Fixing the Problem :spoton:

Ab-so-fricken-lutely.

At least they had the balls to stand up and admit there is a problem rather than the usual denial tactics.

I think from memory most if not all of the Mules had a single plate clutch???

From My understanding they didn’t think it was up to it and decided on the higher spec twin plate, so I’m not sure as to actually how much time went on testing wise with the twin. More a case it was well and truly big enough for the torque specification wise so they went with it.

No doubt they will fix it just a shame it had to happen.

It won’t stop me from having one I can assure you of that!!!!

Why are you bothered to go around to different dealerships??

I reckon if the clutch is the only problem, then it is minor!

They've recognised it & will fix it, the F6 is the Ford supercar of this decade, just like the A9X was to Expensive Daewoo except there is no production racing to prove it!

I'd love to own an F6 & park it in the garage, just like I'd love an A9X or a HO.

You've rushed in & bought the first release of this monster so you're just gonna have to be the guinea pig, just way up the pros & cons

Pros, 1st to own the super quick F6, which commands respect & attention on the road

Cons, teething problems have to be sorted, which they will be. Just like all high performance nwe generation cars.

All I can say is I wish I had your woes!!

Poor bas*ard!

Hi Russ. Mate where you are incorrect is that the F6 ain't no rocket in standard form, the torque falls off a cliff as does the boost at 4250 rpm, and if you have to go spend $1000s to make it quick, well you can do that to any car with a turbo hanging off the side, so you may as well go for the fully optioned XR6 T. As for fixing the clutch probs they are only doing that without denial because the mags are on to it and there is no way that FPV could face a consumer panel and convince anybody it was fine to have a brand new car that doesn't operate at all. My dust storm is becoming something European next week and all my Company Focus's are transforming into Corollas on principle.

1 X dust storm, 2 months ownership 3500 klm = $10.000 tear up. The greatest marketing and production botch up since the Expensive Daewoo Sunbird IMHO and anyone who buys one of these things before 2006 may as well wind a T up to 160kph and throw the difference out the window, because at resale time that's what it will amount to

The Ford God Must Be Really Peeved Off :ermm:

To Mr Flint and all the fools in the clown factory I say :w00t2:

Ric, exacly what is it that's wrong with your F6? If I remember you have had the clutch fixed, so why so much anger still? If I go back through your posts you have 'swung' in your feelings towards the F6 and you seemed to be 'on the mend' after the thermostat change. I've had the occasional spit about issues but nothing with the venom in your posts.

Don't tell me you fell for the marketing crap? Your a smart bloke, so can't think you really expected the F6 with alleged 270kw to be a faster car than one with 290 or 300kw?? I'm interested to know why you are so pissed off compared to the other F6 owners on the forum.

While FPV have fcuked up with the clutch they are fixing it so I prey the resale will not be effected for too long. Apart from that the only other issues are the same ones wth all similar Fords - diff whine, driveline sunt and bearing noises (Mk2 6 speeds).

For those that want to continue throwing  , just take a breath and think about this for a second.

Go to the Ford website and option up a standard xr6t to F6 specs (ie ICC and premium audio - even though you cannot have dual climate control like the F6/18" wheels/premium brakes/seats etc) and my calcs came to around $56k. An F6 retails at $59k. So, $3k for a great bodykit, different wheels, nicer interior and not even mentioning the tougher engine internals, intercooler etc..........

Ford, you are getting my $3k extra. And I am still going to modify it.

Christ, stop whinging about it. Build a bridge.
