Would have been cheaper for ford to give you a new car.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I said this to FORD already, they just smile politely and ask when I can drop the car back in again. These people are the experts and as such MUST know best!!

This very afternoon,

I can add to the list the drive belt tensioner "gone", rattles liked a F.U. vn dunnydoor.

Strangely enough, I only just picked it up from the 3 day service job to fix a big paint chip. Apprentice in a hurry to collect the lunches maybe....???

Also has standard features:

diff whine

shuddering power steer at low speed

engine oil leak from cross bolt ( or rocker cover if you believe the service lot)

starter cable hanging low and rubbing

surface rust on machined underbody parts and driveshaft - c'mon Mr ford a 2$ can of supercheap matt black goes a long way.

and still looking.

Can anyone in the Brisbane area recommend a dealer that will look after the car and not treat you like an idiot.....? Blatant lies not acceptable!

Well just picked mine up from the dealers not 10 minutes ago, just a small list this time:

New Diff

New Gearbox (Transmax Z oil to be put in)

New clutch -Supplied by JB

Machine the flywheel

Machine the discs

Fit new pads - Supplied by JB

New Tint on rear left hand door

Reflash Pcm

Replace Gear knob

Replace Leather Gear boot

I think that's enough for one trip to the dealers, will see how the car goes over the next month or so. The clutch definately needs bedding in, it's either on or off, reminds me of my racing days, and the new RB 74 pads are the same.

Fingers crossed... :spoton:

Hey Jonathon,

Good luck with the car, hope it is all good from now on. Did the dealer pick up on your chip?

Luke.

You're right, I do have a couple of little things, but I know if I take it in to the dealer, I'll be bringing it home with more prob's than I started with. Being a Ford mechanic, I can take care of most things myself. Obviously if I have warrantee claims, I'll have to take it back to the dealer, but fortunately nothing is that bad that needs to be addressed!......yet! :w00t2:

..............Sorry if I was a little misleading!

Try Bryan Burt Ford at Mansfiled I have been there 2 times and have had good service.

I have allways gone after 4.00 pm when the night shift has been on.

100% happy with the service given.

Problems

Cooling system cap replaced (Leaking)

Serpentine belt replaced (Had flat spot on it)

Serpentine belt tensioner replaced (Was rattling)
