Well if that's an XT its not too bad, its the XR range I worry about.

Any one remember Ford said somthing about a 220kw 4L alloy donk they were working on, it'll be the ducks guts with a Hoover bolted on. Will this be the vehicle to carry that donk?

If they do use a Turbo on the new donk, I recon we may see 280kw out of the stock XR6T. I'd sell my right arm for one of those :spoton: and with that kind of output who gives a sh*t how it looks.

Guys we have nothing to worry about.

I have seen the future and it looks fantastic especially in XR format.

About 6 months ago I went to an appraisal day at Jeff’s shed in Melbourne. They rolled out 4 clay models for us to look over, all different shapes etc. I wasn’t that impressed until they sat us down for a discussion group at the end. We were all SS or XR drivers bar 1 he had a Camry Sportiva! The new XR got rave reviews from all there!

I’ll buy one. :w00t2:

Deek,

I was there that day too. To me, the clay model that was un-branded I reckon was the new Falc. It looked great, a hint of 5 series, particularly around the guard /bonnet. The interiors were quite special too, something that you might expect in the Nissan Z rather than a large sedan. It looked great and nothing like that pic Glenn has posted. I was also in the discussion group.

Luke.

I think the photo would suggest its a fairmont equivelent looking at the front seats.

I don't think this is what the next Falcon will look like anyway. The artical suggests we will go for the Universal grill.

But I don't think it looks too bad anyway.

Try and actually imagine that.... This steaming pile of dog crap beating us all down the quarter.....

And btw, it sounds much more promising from the 2 fella's that went to the sneak peak day.

did anyone care to read this bit? : At last week's Detroit motor show, Ford of America unveiled its new mid-size sedan, the Fusion, said to constitute "the styling building blocks" for the next generation Falcon.

MID SIZED CAR... tell me what mid-sized car ever looks like its big brother large car.. NONE.

so its a safe bet to say, "thank f*ck that's not gunna be the next falcon"

Camry + Vectra

Camry boot, doors and roof line and similar to a Vectra front.

Maybe if it does go front wheel drive and midsized we could have some part sharing with Toyota? We might all be driving around in "Fal-rys", or perhaps even "Camr-ons"?

I great picture that has caused the discusion it was intended to and we've all added 67 million hits to the Age website to see what the "new Falcon" looks like.
