Fpv, Where Is This F6 Typhoon?

Whats a Typhoon doing on REALPERFORMANCE.COM. I think it belongs on HYPEDUPBUTADUDPERFORMANCE.COM. What did it run anyway, I'm guessing mid 14's.

There's a good "priceless" email floating around with a guy doing exactly that, in a Camaro or something. I might get Glenn to photochop a F6 in......... and send it to FPV.

Has anyone run any 0-100 and 1/4 mile times on their XR6T when they first purchased it and also when they have clocked up a fair few kms? What were the figures? I want to have a idea as to how faster a typhoon will be once it's been well run in.

Well guy`s I have read all the posts.

My thoughts are this whether you like them or not.

The F6 may have a few better components on it than the Xr6t, and even if it is as everyone says and is slower. hopefully you will be rewarded with longetivity of the car. I hope the people that have bought them enjoy them and so long as they are happy with their cars that's all good.

To all the F6 people the problem that people have whether they have purchased a car or not is that they are very dissapointed by FPV. The F6 is a laughing stock,in stock form where all the major motor magazines have confirmed that the xr6t is quicker.

FPV said they were going to give us a weapon ,they didn`t unless you spend money on it.Look at Hsv they kick FPV`s arse in marketing and performance.

There cars a constantly quicker,(anyone who thinks it`s not about 1/4 mile times pull your head out of the sand) you want to do laps on a race track buy a race car and get sponsors and race it on a race track..

These are meant to be street performance cars where straight line performance is all that matters.

I admire Hypnodoc, He has one is not happy with it(understated) and calls a spade a spade. If I buy a product and I am not happy about it I will let everybody know.

To those F6 owners that public anounce they are happy (1/4 mile times) with a car that was promised to deliver more,you are just insuring that the future models that come out will have the same flaws and near enough is good enough.

FPV get my money no way I don`t have sucker on my forehead, I`ll keep driving my XR6T till something worthy comes out.

FPV should be ashamed of themselves the way this whole Typhoon thing has been handle,especially with the media.I wish this whole thing would just blow over.LOL

See Dynosteves clutch has packed it in at 2000klm and he has been told it could be a 2 month wait while the idiots at the clown factory try figuring out what to do I will cop a 10k tear up to get out of the POS this week and then on principle I will spend plenty more spruiking these FPV clowns, via my legal people. It is such a pathetic joke, that the FPV dealers in WA WA land are still completely unaware there has been a clutch issue and/or recall.

If the fools keep this up for much longer the whole joint will go down like the Titanic, if it wasn't for Stone Bros it would have already. I guess that's what happens when you take an intelligent man with foresight (Geoff Polites), send him 10000 miles away and replace him with a geriatric Yank and a half silly Pom . No more dollars from me boys, ever! But lots and lots and lots of negativity and legal pain, all out of principle of course

Does anywon have geoff polites phone no. or email,the poor bloke would be crying after all the hard work he put in. If the Australian side of ford don`t give a sh*t maybe we can petition ford America,maybe even Mr Ford jnr.

Go to the Ford website and option up a standard xr6t to F6 specs (ie ICC and premium audio - even though you cannot have dual climate control like the F6/18" wheels/premium brakes/seats etc) and my calcs came to around $56k. An F6 retails at $59k. So, $3k for a great bodykit, different wheels,nicer interior and not even mentioning the tougher engine internals, intercooler etc..........

Ford, you are getting my $3k extra. And I am still going to modify it.

Nobody said that the extra options you get in the F6 are not worth the money(why can`t you have dual climate control?)The issue is the performance is a let down and FPV should hang their heads in shame. I would love for the car you get to be an absolute beast, but don`t think just because it is a FPV that you won`t get hosed by an xr6t in stock form, or even a Hsv.

Ii think people are missing the point of this thread, it is not that the F6 is a piece of sh*t, It is that the F6 should have been so much more. You can buy your car and let ford know that near enough was good enough and the next model they put out will be just as slow,FPV Ford .Performance Inc who are they kidding more like Ford Performance ignorance.

Everybody has there opinion but every major magazine has canned the car,owners have come out and canned the car.Well what do you wan`t Neon signs.

It`s your money Ralph, but just one last thing before I go.

This cars reputation has already been damaged and this bet your bottom dollar will effect it`s resale value, do me a favour think with your head not your heart.

P.s I luv my Fords and have an Xr6T had the F6 been what Ford promised there would be one inmy driveway now.
