Stang,

Sorry dude, your not selling me any cookies today with your BS story. What you are is just another XR6T owner trying to justify the purchase you have already made. You SAY that you would have a F6 in the driveway if this or that but here is what I think is REALLY going on.

Option 1/. You have a standard (no options) XR6T that set you back around 45-50K and you wish your car had the extras already mentioned that the F6 offers and you would dearly like to think that your car is as quick as an F6.

Option 2/. You paid 55+K on an optioned up XR6T and your pissed of that for an extra couple of bucks you could have had something special.

I know that when I had my series 1 XR6T I loved hearing about how the F6 was only marginally quicker than a stock T. I used to think "suckers" for spending all that extra $$ on the F6. Truely, I understand where you are coming from. Tell me honestly, who do you think gives a toss that you haven't gone out and bought one? The answer is "YOU". You don't need to justify it to us.

If you are intersted in what I have found to be the actual differences between the 2 cars, I am starting a new thread now!!

You forgot Option 3/. Stang has full use of his mental capacity which makes him about twice as smart as you from what I've seen of your presumptious postings.

You don't read properly or fully what people write, but are quick to draw conclusions as to their motives - take a look at yourself first! It would seem to me it is YOU who is trying to justify his purchase ... hmmmm.

Thanks Turbo6man,

I did 15 years in retail and customer service and nothing pisses me off more than a company that promises but doesn`t deliver. I do feel sorry for the ford sales people because it`s not their fault. Generally you will find it is management that is trying to save a dollar to make budget.

Qicksmurf,

I own my car outright ,I own my house and I own an investment property fully paid off. What makes you think I couldn`t go out and get an F6 tomorrow a lousy $60,000. not that you need to know any this but reading dribble upsets me.

If you own an F6 and your not the bloke who was spreading crap on the LS1 forum

(soud familiar) I hope it gives you no problems, but do expect toget smoked by other Xr6T`s.

Oh and I am not rich, just work hard and save my money.

Sorry Stang, NO SALE!

Do you think I am remotely interested in your financial position. If what you say is correct I understand you may be able to afford one, I never suggested otherwise. Even in my position I wouldn't call $60k a lousy amount. If its true that you worked hard to get to your position then $60k is a lot of money whichever way you look at it. You own an XR6T so you have spent 80-90% of what the F6 is worth anyway. To be clear I wasn't doubting your financial capacity to afford one!

Clearly you ( like so many others in the forum) own and enjoy your XR6T. See what amuses me is the amount of XR6T owners criticising the F6. You wont find many F6 owners rubbishing the XR6T in return. Why do you think that is? Clearly we all agree that if the 2 vehicles were the same price and were equally available then everyone here would own a F6. I dare you to challenge that theory.

A mentor of mine told me that its easier for people to feel better about themselves by bringing others down. Next time you try and bring down the F6 make a mental note and see if it really makes you feel better. :spoton:

Just remember I don't judge you for buying a XR6T so I won't tolerate being judged by people like you about my purchase.

Whatever, the proof is in the pudding .

All major magazines that have tested the F6 have said it is slower than the T,why would you bother except for the fact that it is an FPV and that doesn`t seem to

mean much anymore anyway as they have shown how useless they are.

So quicksmurf tell me why there are people on this forum that own F6`s and they are bagging them, tell me why?.Oh and as for your theory it would be easier to put the fpv badge on the xr6t we all know it goes faster.

Oh and you didn`t answer my question was it you they were making fun off on the ls1 forum?, had you name there.

Great comeback Stang!! You really made a very valid point, albeit misguided. I have found that when the green eyed monster possesses a person their mental capacity and level of articulation suffer in equal amounts. Your post just emphasises my opinion. I wasn't going to mention that the Dec edition of Motor pretty much contadicts everything you have just said but I will just to put you in your place.

In case you are trying to provoke me into bagging the T, it just won't happen. I think the T is a great car and I can appreciate both vehicles for what they are. Now when you go to sleep tonight don't worry about coming up with a decent reply. Just send through another incoherent rant that dumps on my car.

BTW, people is plural for person. People that own F6's have not been bagging them in this forum. Certain warranty issues have been covered and discussed to death. I think what point you were trying to make is that ONE particular person is unhappy with their F6. Perhaps together the two of you could come up with something constructive to say.

I wait with baited breath for your reply, Stang.....But still, NO SALE!

stang,

You are the third person to bring up the LS1 thread earlier this month. What makes you think that I owe you an explaination of the events that took place.? If you are trying to be funny, it worked. You make me laugh.

If, however, you are genuinely interested in knowing what went on then PM me and I will give you the whole story. In the mean time I am going to stop playing these childish games with you. I think you are probably a great guy in person. I think being behind a computer monitor does things to people including myself. To go on about this is really a waste of time so I will finish on a positive note without the sarcasm.

I truly hope you enjoy your ride. The T is a great car and offers great bang for your buck.

At this stage I plan to keep my F6 for 2-3 years and all I hope for is fun, safe and trouble free motoring.

QuickishSmirf.... let it go mate :spoton: you can start 100 threads but that will not change peoples perceptions of the phoon. You guys flame me for my point of view which is fine with me :lockd:

But why, why, why, keep reigniting obvious shortcomings to all and sundry as the rest of us will top ourselves before dawn at this rate. WTF ,you Phoon boys are starting threads quicker than the rest of us post. Maybe it is a goodish car but it aint that good to warrant the airtime .

We have our own points of view , which is what the site is about :spoton:

I am happy to accept the cheap shots and generally disparaging remarks on my character from a few chest puffing blowins trying to justify their errant purchases

It is getiing to the point where every thread is turning in to T V Phoon and like some of you Phoon people I for one would like to see an end to it.

And just for the record Smurfy you could expedite that outcome to the benefit of all.Sure I made a few derogatory posts , but that is just my POV, yep guilty.

I do apologise if my personal sentiments on FPV upset people , but tough :ermm:

they have cocked it up large

As someone personally told me to put up or shut up as I have not driven one, well the test drive is booked, step out of 280 @ wheels to a miserely 270a fly. I will not comment on this, as the outcome is an oxymoron. Handling brakes etc I will provide feedback via PM only. Would not want to tread on any toes an that :spit:

I said my previous post was the last on this , but every time I log on , someone says something half truthful , a new thread is started in the hope of mining positive responses on their car of choice.

Seriously call me Dick whatever, stay out, bugger off WGAF ... take it to PM .. The rest of the board dont need to see it.

Seriously I hope this post ends all the sh*t about the Phoon, because at the end of the day all people are really pissed about is the lack of delivery V potential . I have never said outright it is a POS. But some of the primates out there have thin skins so to you guys........well what you waiting for ??

BTW ... any one know a dealer with a Phhon that goes like stink
