Hi Fellas,

I would be interested to know how you guys with the Stealth are going?

Tell us the good, the bad , or the ugly.

Still looking at doing it soon and wondering how much fun you guys are having and how the engine etc are holding up.

Mate just do it, do it, do it now awaken the beast !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh and start saving for new tyres :pooh:

Dont think its NZ yet. After waiting for it for so long its interesting so know how the cars are going.

With the power increase do you think you need to upgrade brakes? :sofa:

yes a brake upgrade is on the cards for sure, might try some dba's

scarey nah, just heaps of fun.

its stinking hot here in sydney, but it's made no difference to performance at all.

250 rwkw is great cant wait for the next stage 300rwkw :o

300rwkw= no traction and huge tyre bills------ what more could you ask for :o

Some great figures there.

Lets talk driving, Is it fun and safe to drive hard on the windy stuff?

I know acceleration has improved infact it seems the whole engine has been transformed but is it fun or does it just scare the hell out of the driver.

It's great fun to drive.

One way to describe the feeling is that it's like the car has lost a lot of weight. It's on its toes a lot more, eager to pull out of corners and eats up straights (and HSV's and Rexes). :pooh:

Can someone clarify something for me. Once you instal your edit does the box need to stay in the car once its installed or do u disconnect it?

you disconnect it....it plugs in the point near your fusebox under the steering wheel... plug it in... wait about 5 min and unplug it.

Hi Rob. At this stage there doesn't seem to be alot of workshops able to do custom tunes. I believe that the custom tunes could be a fairly complicated process. This being the case which good tuners in each state will be providing this service and at what sort of cost?

Have there been any good results from edited cars at the track yet? I've personally seen a few that were not running too quick and seemed to have good low down power with not alot of top end. Is this a deliberate tune to protect parts of the drive train or possibly due to the injectors being near their limits and making sure none of the cars detonate? An example of this would be Jeff's car (xr6iknees), he had a 660' time that should have given low 13's yet only managed one 13.7 and the rest of his runs were in the 14's. The car seemed to get of the line well and go well earlier only to lack top end power. I think Jeff's best mph was 100mph.

I'm sure alot of people would appreciate your thoughts on thses questions.

Geea. :ermm:

I'd say you a spot on there Ken.

Better option, go to Power Torque Engines and buy the SCT EDIT (same product) through them.

- They will soon have the custom tuning software ready.

- You won't automatically be on the blacklist.

now this brings a spanner into the works... if ford are a edit dealer... they will then have the software for it.... now would this mean they can tell if you have the edit on your car :gooff:
