There is a part of me that wishes I purchased a GT. Even now while having a fast T I think of having a modded GT with around 260 at the rears, but with the bulge and the sound of the boss motor.

Any GT owners out there wanna swap??? :crybaby:

I have seen my mates standard auto GT pull away (about a car lenght or so) from a stage 2 APS XR6T on the freeway from 60km/h until 160-180. The distance between them was dependent on inital speed and who hit slightly first. Either way the GT pulled away.

Okay, I'll bite

The F6 with only 270Kw can chop up the new 6.0 litre Clubby

80-120 Km/h Rolling in Gear Acceleration, done by Wheels not Motor

3rd 4th 5th 6th

Club 297 : 4.0 / 5.7 / 7.5 / 12.8 (both clubby & F6 tested same day)

F6 : 3.8 / 4.7 / 6.6 / 9.6

APS Phase II XR6T ~330 Kw with god knows how much torque regular mid 12 sec 1/4 mile

Standard GT ~290 Kw lucky to nudge very high 13s for the 1/4

Was the APS Phase II XR6 towing a boat maybe?

I think my car would be worth a little more than that.

If you're interested, Im sure your 'bob the builder Perofmance' mods would have already lowered the resale of your car enough to qualify for an EB GT swap. :w00t2:

Performance wise. In standard trim the GT is definitely quicker. However if you upgrade the XR6T to the stage 2 kit then its a different story. However you can also make the GT go..BTW the GT once it starts moving is a fast car. While I believe this story, it is NOT indicative of the mid-range acceleration of an APS Phase II XR6T. Take a stock auto GT and an APS Phase II XR6T and do this 100 times. You will unlikely see the GT come anywhere close. It amazes me that anyone who has compared power and torque curves of a stock auto GT and APS Phase II XR6T could see this was in any way possible, all other things being equal.

As for choosing, this would be my preference:

1. GT, then get an APS Twin Turbo for 15K.

2. XR6T, then get an APS Phase anything (whatever you prefer).

I think you'll find that a 2004 model with WARRANTY wil sell for more than a 2003 T with no warranty :lol:

Yeah, there is only 1 person in australia that likes APS products :spoton:

I guess I can understand why though, who would in their right mind would want a awesome, powerfully modified T when they could have a surging, coughing, underpowered T with an edit :w00t2:
