In my AUII XR8, heading to Phillip Island, following one Mate in a VUSS Ute, twin 2.5 zorst, CAI and some basic LS1 Edit, up the hill towards the roundabout, crest the hill, right turn at roundabout, signal my intention of a run up the double lanes out of the intersection by stepping the rear out on exit, and we're into it, I think I either caught him in the wrong gear or he was fcuken with me, because just as I was about pull to the left and go round him to avoid hammerin his Expensive Daewoo badge through the tailgate, he let rip, and there was not a single thing I could do about

He had 3 in the car and I had 2, and 100kg's of Carryboy on the back, oh by the way My AU was stock as!

I have an everyday run with the same car. I drive a XRT ute and everymorning this guy in a VX Clubby R8 always seems to be on my tail. I live in the Hawkesbury in NSW and its pretty rural, so the drive to my work is on a road which has combined straights and bends and then in Windsor multiple lane traffic driving. So we run in all types of areas. Anyways he always tries to overtake me straight away but he cannot because as soon as I see him start to pull out I flatten it and begin to pull. So he pulls back in and catches up to me again. Then comes the multiple car overtaking. The otherday there was four cars which I overtook at about 180km. The clubby decided to follow but I saw him struggle to keep up again. Next comes the twisty raods which the turbo loves. I gain about a minute on the clubby. In the traffic driving its just lane changing around cars at about 90-120km, which is pretty stupid. He has never beaten me or ever overtaken me and I LOVE IT. The best part is his plates say VXR88U. I can tell you now he has never eaten me and never will.

There are no doubt a number of very quick GM cars out there, but I haven't seen too many of them.

I guess the bottom line is that both sides love their cars and t0ssers are not limited to any one make. I've seen some wallopers in everything from rice buckets to Porches.

Still, it feels great to put away someone who is absolutely certain of victory.
