OK.... Burringbar range VZ SS uphill double lane, both round a hyundia and he pulled to left to see what I had.... 3rd gear (my Favorite) uphill left hander.... by the time I pulled alongside and turned traction control off, I looked at his face as I outpaced him by several car lenghts and his expression was worth the whole $45K......... I might add I was almost lying on the passengers seat into the turn also........... Damn them T's go

In my last T which was auto I had plenty of races, 50/50 win/loose I reckon.

In this T which is manual I've had 2 races and been slaughtered each time...

First one was against Saleen, I stuffed the launch and managed to start gaining on him but he already won.

Second one was against a R32GTR, I spent the next 5 mins trying to cool down my clutch, burned the crap out of it...

I've had some cool run-ins with a HSV Cluby 285, and a VYII SS (245?)

The Cluby happened last week, was driving from Nowra - Batemans Bay, and just after Ulladulla there is this bit of uphill section with an overtaking lane.

Cluby is infront of me overtaking two trucks, black smoke bellowing from it's exhaust, and I'm cruising along behind him flashing him to get out of my way when he wasn't overtaking anyone, and I fly straight past him just before the overtaking lane ends. To his credit he had two passengers. To my credit I had a full tank of fuel and about 300kg's of camping equipment in the boot and 100kg's of full esky's in the back seat and my wife sitting next to me.

Next was just the other day cruising home from camping, up the middle of the Clyde when I get stuck behind this VYIISS, after a minute or so of threatening him by riding up his arse he decides to put his foot down. I'm there sticking on his arse like there is no tomorrow, and finally find a chance to overtake him on the wrong side of the road (legally). I take the chance and soon after get caught up in traffic on the most fun part of the mountain. He catches up to me soon enough, but didn't want to take me the rest of the way home.

He was by himself, and I still had the 300kgs in my boot, half tank fuel, esky's werent full this time and my wife was still with me screaming like there was no tomorrow (my ears are still ringing)...

Third one was, oh hangon a bit, you missed your chance of a three in a row when you didn't pull beside me at the lights on New Year's Eve eh??

Dallas> Yeah, I love picking on bikkies on my favourite bit of road too ... it has to be a very well-ridden bike to keep with me. Just as long as there's no traffic - I hate it when the bikkie b@stards pass over double lines and I have to sit back and wait.

I borrowed my dads T and lined up a 180sx with P plates on the way home. It had a few mods, big exhaust, BOV and it was a manual. Light goes green and I pulled a car length on him to 100 before I backed off. Stopped at the next set of lights and he couldn't even look my way.

A few weeks ago when I had my Territory I followed my girlfriends VT home. We came up to a set of lights and for a bit of a joke I revved the engine and she revved back. I thought I'm going to lose anyway but it will be a bit of fun. The funny thing was I pulled a car length off the line and continued to pull away from her until we came up to traffic. I knew the VT was pretty gutless but to be demolished by a 2 tonne truck is just embarrasing. Ecotecs are :msm:

'Twas a dark and stormy night.

Tonight in fact. Driving home and the roads are very quiet, very wet.

I am in the inside lane out of 3, coasting up to a red light. Slight incline, but nothing too serious. Car ahead of me was also in the inside lane, but decides to move over into the centre lane.

I'm curious about this. What could he/she be thinking??? I mean, the road is virtually empty, and this guy moves over... Is heshe sending a message? Does heshe want some action?

My window is down as I pull up, but I feign disinterest. Nevertheless, I watch the traffic lights like a hawk, waiting to see if heshe reacts to the imminent green light.

Then I hear it. Its unmistakable. Heshe is revving hisher engine as the other lights go form orange to red. ITS ON!

My car is nicely run in now, and I know she can do it. I'm not worried about the rain. My baby can grip like a panther with those lovely 17" alloys.

And the lights go green!!!!!

Oh the noise as heshe launches, and spins their wheels like crazy, engine screaming at the lack of traction. My previous experience has served me well, and my baby takes off without a hint of wheel spin.

But, what's this? Heshe has somehow managed to gain traction, and is also on the move. Heshe has half a bonnet length! Can this be happening?

And then, just in time, the panther struts her stuff, and the power comes on smooth now, and we start to pull away. One car length, two, three, four oh yeah baby, its all over.

The Lion is tamed again: Ford (Focus) 1, Holden (Astra) nil.

Three cheers for Annie. Who said it would never happen? (oh that's right, it was probably me)

Great to see you are still waving the ford flag high & proud.

Trent.
