I use mlMac on OSX and Shareaza on XP.

mlMac is great, unobtrusive and combines all the major P2P networks into one interface.

Shareaza is a greedy hog that consumes most (if not all) of your internet resources. I only use it when I'm leaving the machine alone for a while.

BearShare is what I typically use. I used to use KazaaLite+++ but there were too many dodgy files. BearShare is very fast and seems more relible.

I would recommend any file sharing program be used in conjunction with something like Peer Guardian, just to try and give you some protection from those who are watching.

get on the torrents guys.... it's the wayyyyy of the future!

Miyagi, I was a big fan of suprnova.org and checked it daily. Sadly, that site is no longer and my tip is most of the torrent sites will also soon be extinct. The record co's and the like are wielding very big sticks now.

I o lot of bittorrenting, and I use the program, Azeurus. It's a java program, so it's windows, macosx etc. Getting torrent files with this is brillient. Find the torrent on the many torrent search engines, and you can limit upload bandwidth, download bandwidth etc. pretty kewl. Fast too.
