Pretzel EMS makes MAGIC MUMBO ! Member 192 Member For: 21y 4m Location: Melbourne Posted 23/12/04 12:29 PM Share Posted 23/12/04 12:29 PM Have a problem with the aircon, thought I'd see if anyone else had a fix ?Aircon working fine today, but tonight I started the car, with the aircon on, it seemed to start cooling, and I had to turn the car off again (Forgot something) then when I re-started it the aircon does not work ! The indicator in the screen says it is on when I press the button, so I know the switch is working.I need to check the Fuse under the bonnet, but it was dark and it looked ok from what I saw !Anyone else have this happen in the past ?Or any suggestions ?Thanks guysPretzel Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/14808-air-con-problem/ Share on other sites

If you do not have this then is is most likely a fuse.Try it with the bonnet open, I do not know where the aircon fuse is, but it should be under the bonnet Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/14808-air-con-problem/#findComment-202535 Share on other sites

Member 192 Member For: 21y 4m Location: Melbourne Posted 23/12/04 12:59 PM Author Share Posted 23/12/04 12:59 PM Thanks, I was going to check fuses in the morning, there is no click (From the compressor starting) or thermo fans etc..In the engine bay one of the fuses is labelled AC, but it looked ok (I didn't remove it to test though yet !)I'm hoping it is just s fuse, as I don't want to hve to arrange a dealer to look at it !ThanksPretzel Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/14808-air-con-problem/#findComment-202548 Share on other sites

cqae Member 229 Member For: 21y 5m 7d Posted 30/12/04 02:07 PM Share Posted 30/12/04 02:07 PM you dont get an audible clicle from these compressors-they are variable srtoke compressors & you dont really hear the clutch click in like you do on the old ones.also as far as fans go-I am not sure on the falcons, but many cars these days only switch the condensor fans on when the high side pressure reach a certain point.so if this is the case on the falcons, they might not come on Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/14808-air-con-problem/#findComment-204156 Share on other sites
