At first he tried to sway me toward an SS inductions kit, but soon cottoned on that I knew what I was on about (thanks to this forum!). He then said the Typhoon airbox was a "restricted part" only available to FPV owners but he could fit the xr8 snorkel to my current airbox.He said that they discard XR 8 snorkels all the time and they will install one under the headlight, cut a hole in my current air box and fit it all for $99.00. Gotta be happy with that!I save buying (or scavenging) the xr8 snorkel ($55), the pipe joiner ($20) and I get it fitted by a Ford Dealer. Hopefuly they cut a neater hole than me. They also make good money ($99 for 30 mins work - if that) using discarded parts so everyone's happy!I'm booked in next Wednesday. I'll let you know the quality of workmanship then.This forum is a fantastic information source. Thanks! I will pay for postage and for your trouble! Spare parts want about $70, which to me is a bit steep. Also if anyone has a standard T intake snorkel (the factory one) let me know if you want to sell it. I beleive they are bigger then the standard NA ones??
