First time at the drags, had fun but a little dissapointed in XR8/myself.

Had 6 runs and the utes engine cut out 3 times around the 1000ft mark between 4000-5000 RPM. (obviously the PCM upgrade by Ford has not solved this problem.)

Of the remaining 3 runs my best was:-

ET 15.003

MPH 96.1

60ft 2.27.

(The ute with me in it weighed in at 1920Kg last week on an empty stomach)

I felt that maybe the wheels were spinning a lot in 2nd gear but am unsure.

The question for those that know is:-

Does the ET and MPH match (I was hoping for a 14 sec pass). Where am I going wrong or is the car just crap or me or both?

I intend to try again after Ford next try to fix the cutting out problem.

Thanks, Chris.

PS I am not trying to steal the thread with these questions.

Ripped Off !!

0.000 reaction time & nothing :w00t2:

PB`s were hard to come by with the heat spoiling any chance of good times.

My best was a 14.4 & 99mph and my other 4 runs were around 14.4 - 14.5

It was good to meet some new T fans and catch up with some old ones.

Thanks for the photos Phil, and also for giving BCL my five seconds of internet fame ( bas*ard  )

Cheers

But would you swap that 0.00 reaction for a 12.3et.

0.00 reaction is amazing.

Brian, I think I`ll keep the 0.000RT. I know if I throw enough money at the XR6T I could get a 12.3, but I doubt I will ever get another perfect light.

Well done guys , I had my first night at WSID ( or any drags ) last night & was quite impressed. As a spectator anyway.

It was a bit dissapointing to hear from the soft c@#k on the loud speaker to dish the Fords everytime they lined up for a run. Think he should stick to eating his wendy's low fat smoothies.

I must say it appeared that the T's struggled to get off the line but once they got going they held their own.

General question - with so many other cars breaking into the low 11's what will it take for a T to break the 11's. I noticed a few sleepers out there that acheived 11's & was wondering what it would be like to get dusted by one of them on the roads ?

Great Ford showing & hope to see ( and possibly meet ) you all next time. :ermm:

First time for me too last night, good to put a face to the names, beside you geaa, you are uglier than me, and that's saying something

I had my best run 1st up, it was still 30deg c at 8.15pm

R/t: two weeks

60ft 2.187

330 ft 5.79

660ft 8.64

mph @ 660 86.56

1000 11.096

ET 13.151

MPH 110.41

stock dunlops, trans in auto mode, 1/2 tank fuel (BP 98),

and 115 kgs of ballast (me).

Give me a cool night, a dyno tune and I see mid 12's for Eugene coming up.

Great night, I had a ball, and will be back when it is a bit cooler.
