Well xrturbs - I think it depends on the shop yo're getting it done at and teh prices they flog their components off. Here in QLD Right Price exhaust will do the best value job.

I think if you are doing hi flow cat, single mild steel 3inch mandrel bent pipe, and a muffler and resonator, you could get this done at a mimimum of 700 maybe closer to 1k for better quality gear. Somebody else in your local area might be better off helping you with this one...

xrturbs - there is plenty of threads on exhaust options for the T; I think you will find that the best gains from standard is a high flow cat and the removal of the middle muffler. The cat is the biggest dollar component in the system I described above anyway (so it just depends on your budget).

3. The gear changes are NOT firmer, IMO they are the same (excluding point 3 of THE GOOD of course)

Commanded line pressure is at maximum for the force motor in your gearbox. The shifts might not feel any firmer because we stop the throttle from closing down the power on gearchange. If the throttle was allowed to shut (like stock) the shift would chirp the wheels.

Could you please explain this further,

If I read this correctly your saying if the throttle was closed like the factory tune does, the tyres will chirp, how can making less power (throttle closed) make the tyres chirp on a gear ghange, something I thought would require more power.

I am not sure how the boxes work but it sound arse about to me, but I am happy to be corrected.

Eugene,

Very good question, I also think the answer given was complete Crap..... Is it just me or do other people see that certain questions get ignored ?

Where's the answer Street Tuner

Please explain to us people that obviously don't know what happens, how a car in theory decelerating then re-applying power (At least shutting throttle, and re-opening causing boost to drop etc..) will Chirp whilst one that has full power applied immediately to the next gear will not !
