Yeah, well all I have done to it at this stage is added a K&N air filter and replaced the center muffler with twin hotdogs.

I did 14.04 on a G-tech, with my mate in the car and only the K&N (so b4 I changed the muffler).

So I was happy :kissmy:

I dont know if I got the new flash, my car was serviced on the wednesday before xmas and I noticed quite a difference in the way power comes out... but I also noticed my fuel economy drop to just under 500km a tank (I was getting about 540 - 550 before). I have also noticed that the car absolutely hammers when its cold, its like it just cranks everything up when the car is cold, then when it warms up to normal temp it reduces quite considerably. I think there are a lot of issues with getting rid of heat in this car. If it could run cooler more consistently it would be so much better.

Also waiting on a reply about my gearbox, crunching into 5th, whine and grind in 2nd. I think it needs a new box... if they replace the box under warranty do you think they would consider me paying the difference for a 6spd?? What is the difference in price out of interest (between 2 brand new gearboxes...)?

Steve.

Hi All,

I just had my T in for its 3000k inspection. When I booked it in, they told me it was on recall for a PMC change. I assume this was to flash the PMC with I new map. On the report sheet, It said it was PMC code PRGC 309.

Well anyways I would like to report that the car now has a nice smooth idol, compared to before the service, the car would actually rock cause idle was so rough.

Today I had the 3oooKm inspection. I didn't ask for the PMC Update (If it ain't broken don't fix it), but upon pick up was informed that they reflashed it anyway. No code PRGC309 was listed on the paperwork.

This is a bit interesting as before acepting delivery of the car I e-mailed my dealer requesting confirmation that my MkII already had the fix - they said yes it does! Bullsh*it. I knew I was being fed crap at the time because of what I'd read in the forum.

Anyways, the car does feel better with the reflash. Blew off a WXR and probably got my photo taken on my way back to work but could have done this without it anyway.

My T is definately suffering from overboost. Does anybody know if this reflash really works? Has anyone had the reflash and is happy with the result?

Call my car crazy :ermm: , but it only suffers from overboost under hard acceleration uphill. :ermm:

Had my 3000km 'non' service today and on the paper work was PRGC309. But the next 2 lines say "NOT ABLE TO COMPLETE - FORD STILL TO RELEASE UPDATED SOFTWARE FOR OUR EQUIPMENT"

I told them I had overboost issues twice but further down the paper work in relation to overboost it says "Reconnected wiring plug and carried out PCM reflash". So I am guessing that maybe PRGC309 is related to something else?

Everything else I had issues with they didn't fix, but that's another story

I had the same problem (going up hill) I complained of overboost but my dealer told me it was high speed miss-fire (car has more load going uphill?). The fix was to regap the plugs.

Don't know if this was bull on not, but I have not had a problem since...

P.S. Boost gauge shows 6 PSI and even more sometimes so I don't think they bypassed the solenoid to fix my problem.

Thanks Cutsnake, that's good feedback. My car is nearly due for its 30K service so I will ask Ford to have a look at it.

Luke.
