...sounds like it wasn't broke to start with, other elemental conditions contribute to that percentage for example temp, humidity, strapping method, etc. altho 5% would certainly be on the outer limit...

No worries, I think it might have been the use of the YOU word that picked my ears in your comment.

On a point in a further post of yours Pretzel, "no wheelspin at Calder compared to the street," try walking on the track in your street shoes, shows the difference between the two surfaces, tis funny to see people walking on a drag track for the first time, tis like they are learning to walk for the first time. LOL

Scotty,

Pretty much the first line was to you, and the rest was to the baggers !

I figured as much though about the track, what with all the diferent things I imagine people put on tyres to soften them up etc.. Let alone the amount of rubber left on the track I guess !

Er, people.....

Auto = what, nearly 30% power loss,

Manual = closer to 25%.

Nearly every car being compared to pretzels is an auto, therefore producing allot more power at the flywheel than what is being suggested. And the tractive effort throughout the revrange at the rears would be allot higher too (even if the peak isn't). Keep that in mind please because it brings pretzels figures closer to 290 again....

Give him a few more runs and I think he will easily pull a few 115mph+ runs, easily, making the figures spot on.
