Do they do anything to the auto besides the clutches and bands? What is the $ that your rebuild costed?

they machine up a whole new servo plus valve body mods and the above mods and also high stall convertor but they only recomend going 200 to 300 higher.cost$2400+$500 for high stall conv.the pump in my car had to be replaced(drive gears had totally shattered) which they did at no extra cost.

just a quick one.

does anyone know how much rwkw would be the maximum for the original auto in the xr6 turbo before it has to be replaced?

what is a safe level for it? I heard that it is pretty tough and can handle some good figures

all I know is that with 258 rwkw my box s@#t it self at 15000km

Jeff, I have a new auto, ordered through Nizpro, and built by Yarra Valley auto's.

I've done about 7,000kms on it and couldn't be happier. I heard one of Nizpro's own development cars has around 400rwkw and the auto is holding up fine.

They warrant it for 360rwkw, even with the occassional dragging.

The box is very punchy, and comes with a converter. Gear changes come in very quickly, delivered by a kidney punch that slams you into the next gear. Make no mistake, this box changes the way your car feels/drives. It's a high performance box. Under full throttle, high powered T's will unleash wheelspin between gearchanges.

I've had no problems since getting mine fitted....apart from realizing I needed more traction and had to get wider wheels and rubber. I've even had a recent power upgrade and re-map, because the box can handle it now.

I believe the cost is $3150. If you don't live in Melbourne, they ship the new box off to you once they receive yours and inspect it. The boxes can't be completely f*cked. If they are, the customer pays an aditional $1400 or so (I think..correct me if I'm wrong someone)

To my knowledge, its the best and strongest auto option around for high powered T's at the moment.

I dont mean to hijack this thread, but what about the manual? What is the power rating for a stock gearbox and clutch? Anyone know yet?

PS. Yarra Valley are definately the way to go. I had a VL turbo years ago and they did an awesome job on the auto. Held together with 320rwkw.

I didnt want to mention it before but know that you have yarra valley do build nizpros autos and I also belive some of A.P.S dealers in sydney are sending there autos to yarra valley as well.
