Anyone owning a 'T" series will know that what you order and what you get as spare parts are often very different. Ben.

My mistake on the part no. there ...BA 7003 E is the Typhoon T56 and XR6T T56 ...BA 7003 F is the XR8 T56 box ...In any case the price I was given is correct - just my mistake on recollecting one of the part numbers wrongly. Well, where I work would anyway. What would happen, is we would price up a new 5sp, then price the new 6sp, and you would have to pay the difference. You'd have to cough up for the clutch too, but if youre ultra keen on a 6sp, its definatley a cheap way out of it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Sorry Dags, after further "behind the scenes" research, where I work will not allow the warranty replacement of a T56 in exchange of a T5.Sorry for any confusion. Youre not getting a very good deal there Jeff! However, I have been in discussions with Mal Wood this week, and we both agree there is no way that Ford could release the T56 for that kind of money. Mal himself said if I could obtain them for the price I can, he would buy 30 from me tomorrow...... and id say Mal would be getting the best price for T56's, considering how many he sells.I will investigate the price on the T56 further. Guest fredwho Guests Posted 18/12/04 04:59 AM Share Posted 18/12/04 04:59 AM The new 6-speed isn't a straight bolt in to the Mark 1. You also need a crossmember and it appears there may be a clutch issue.

He usually looks after me pretty good with prices on Ford parts. I'll check with you and Amanda next time before I buy anything from him eh? How many manual XR6T, XR8 and FPVs do Ford sell every month?

There is definately something wrong with the pricing on Ford's system, from what I can gather, the T5's are more expensive than the T56! Go figure.....
