The only thing that concerned me was after swithching the car off, when it was in the garage(all quiet)  I could hear the water moving around and bubbling in the engine. I sqeezed the top radiator hose and it was hard, so its not leaking anywhere(internally).

Hope I'm not teaching you to suck eggs here, but the turbo is water cooled, so the water circulates through the turbo the lovely laws of convection (from memory), so this is perfectly normal.

Have you checked the coolant for possible Radiator leak, O ring leak or one of the 50 thousand other outlets? Next for you my friend is a Bbq bonnet. LOL No dramas here

What scotty said, but where you say it sits sounds fairly normal, mine sits on half way hauling up a mountain everyday with aircon on, if it gets over half way and you start smelling that burning coolant smell it means your o ring on the water pump is f*cked, mines had 2 replaced in less than 2 years.

On Sunday the worlds fastest Bbq went barreling up the Toowoomba Ranges at 13psi on a warm sunny day without any increase.

I have had my car for about a month now, done 2000kms. My needle stills fairly constant just above 1/2 way between 1/4 and 1/2 on the gauge. The only thing that concerned me was after swithching the car off, when it was in the garage(all quiet)  I could hear the water moving around and bubbling in the engine. I sqeezed the top radiator hose and it was hard, so its not leaking anywhere(internally).

Do you mean the sound that the turbo (area) makes when you turn the engine off? that's just the turbos way of cooling itself (similar purpose as a turbo timer) I think. Oil or water cooling...

Yeh mine is still sitting at half most of the time regarless of outside temp.

Mine sits exactly between 1/4 and 1/2. 15,000km so far. Have noticed it nudge 1/2 on hot days when driving hard but not often. :gooff:

Why, did you notice a few woopsie marks on the road?

Scotty was actually one of the many pikers on the day, but I’m pretty sure we didn’t go through Helidon – isn’t that south of Toowoomba?
