I tried it out out the dealer with my own CDs before purchasing as I didnt want to go too far backwards from the sound in my Mits Verada and I was pleasantly suprised. I also tried it against a premium system which was better but not $950 worth in my view, unless you really do want try and deafen yourselfSure, it wouldnt meet the needs of a true audiophile or someone that spends thier evenings annoying others by hoping you can hear their music tastes from three blocks away! Shame on all you guys with premium. I would advise anybody purchasing a T to go the premium as:A: looks betterB: Can be modded to be used via xbox or as TVC: You get footwell lights you just have to screw the bulbs in,D: si there anything else.I initailly thought the same thing $950 for better sound, you got to be kidding, but nobody told me about the other stuff, yeah I knew about color screen but was told only four colors whoopee then people started mucking around with them and whala.Oh and only joking about you guys with the premium. Lots of info around the site about various setups involving this.
IPhido Member 18 Member For: 22y 23d Posted 15/12/04 11:47 PM Share Posted 15/12/04 11:47 PM Premiums worth it for the colour ICC, and the upgraded audio. $950 and you get a sub, colour screen, better speakers etc.. Standard is okay, but its still standard. With premium, really the only thing that needs attention is the sub, it needs more bass. Sometimes you can convince the bean counters to include options that will help resale, or have it included as a performance bonus.

Where do I look for the sockets, and why is it linked in with a choice of sound system?

YOOT Member 1,201 Member For: 21y 7m 6d Location: Birkdale Posted 16/12/04 07:34 AM Share Posted 16/12/04 07:34 AM I thought the stock stereo was sh*t house, and the only thing I liked about the Premium setup was the colour ICC.I ripped my stock on out and replaced it with two amps, 12" sub, 6.5" Splits and a decent headunit that plays MP3s.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Theres 2xDIN where the tissue holder is, mine fits between the power source and the other side, made it fit. And enough room to put tissues underneath if you want, or a second unit.Nothing like being able to here Dire Straights, Jami Cullum, Eric Claptin Unplugged, Pearl Jam Live, INXS,Grinspoon, then way they were meant to be heard, not like the 'premium' system which is a stock system eitherway you look at it. IMO Even fords standard sound is pretty good quality comparing to other models such as toyota...
