Wow, you realy have some negative feelings towards this individual :o , its kinda scary

But what gets me is all these shows on TV about this one cheating on that one and all of that crap, you know what I mean. I don;t watch much TV but when I do I can;t find a decent show so I switch to SBS, they sometimes have those French movies playing

I hate generalisations... e.g. All young people are bad drivers.

I hate how some people seem to think that if they don't speed and don't drink drive, then that automatically makes them a good driver. (And the fact that most road safety adds help reinforce this false belief.)

I hate how we as a society treat different races differently. We're all people and it should be left as that. No special treatment for any race, Aboriginal, white, Asian, African, whatever. We're all the same!

Gee, this thread is a good stress relief!

The Iraq thing is a bit too complex for my tiny brain though looking at it very superficially it would seem that GWB hasn't really achieved much except pain and suffering for his own a lot of his countrymen (and some in Australia). And high oil/petrol prices. There are two or more sides to every story and I don't pretend to know all the ins and outs of them all so I won't comment any further.

Income Tax is a subject I do know a little more about as I do have a personal interest in money (ie getting more of it!) and my job involves Tax and financial things as well. GST in particular is one of my pet hates. Not so much the actual Tax itself but the way it is only implemented on some items and not others. It should be right across the board, everything. No exceptions. And what hapened to the government's promise of tax cuts and abolition of other "hidden" taxes/duties/levies/whatever other name they call them? Yet another broken government promise. Heaps of other issues with the GST get me wound up but I won't bore you with them all.

Sports are are not sports these days. It's all just amount the money. Sports "stars" are way overpaid IMO. Sport is supposed to be about achievment and doing your best for your team or country. And doing it in a fair or sportsmanlike manner. Now it all seems focused on the dollar and is just business not sport. This is part of the reason why drinks and food cost so much when you go and see a footy or cricket match. The catering firms are screwed over by the stadium owners who charge the mega bucks to set up shop so they in turn need to charge $5 a hotdog to try and recoup costs.

Speed cameras and the government's fixation that speeding causes death and injury is a big issue with me. Government sheep all just copy each other and bleat the same "facts" about the issue which in turn is reported by the media and the public read it and are brainwashed into believing it is all true. A recent newspaper article talks about the speed cameras being turned off on Melbourne's Western Ring Road because they were found to be faulty and during this time there has acually been a decline in crashes and serious injuries. This to me just reinforces that speed cameras are only about revenue raising and little to do with road safety. Educate the drivers and teach them how to actually drive, not to just pass a driving test.

One other thing which makes my blood boil is politics. Not so much the main game politics, though the government wasting my tax money is a major issue but is out of my control, but the politics in the workplace, especially my workplace. I come in to work to do a job and try to do it to the best of my ability but when the boss who has no knowledge or experience of what I do or how I do it starts interferring and making out that they know all and start changing things, this makes my blood boil. Or when I have ideas on improvements or changes based on the years of experience I have working in the job and the boss totally ignores any suggestions I have and goes with some other plan that some other (not so)bright spark from some other area (possibly not even from this country let alone this business) has come up with. Even worse if this comes from some outside consultant who was paid mega buck$ to come up with this idea and it is a ripoff of someone elses original idea anyway. Just bercause some fancy idea works (or doesn't...) in Company A that is located on the other side of the planet is not neccessarily going to work in this one (in fact almost guanteed not to). By all means investigate these changes or different procedures and see if they can work for this organisation but don't accept them as being the be all and end all to fix any problems (problems that aren't neccessarily there). I'm not against change, just change for change sake. Don't fix what aint broke is my motto.

Oh yeh, I hate those automated telephone system with a vengence too! I hang up on them and won't deal with that company unless I really, really have to, for that reason. Even if I pay more for the product or service at another company I don't mind as lond as I don't have to deal with those automated telephone systems!
