Non really too major apart from a few.1. Oil loss from motor (by about 7000 km after the previous service, oil level below the OK). That's after 38,000km's. The pulsar SSS I had (my brother now has) doesn't loose one ml, even after 120,000km and various engine mods.2. Vibration on accelleration when more than a few people in the car. Started noticing it with myself in the car now. Get's embarassing sometimes. The smoothness of the first few thousand km's has gone :(3. Left door trim starting to crack. The bloke who did the window tints (dealer) didn't screw back the door trim properly, it was slack now there's a crack.4. Engine whine in the speakers. AUX crappy, whine get's worse when lights are on and when aircon is on. Especially bad with radio. They said it was my after market incar DVD player, but I then told them they were full of sh*t. The pulsar SSS had a 130dB + sound system and it never had any kind of engine whine. I know I am comparing my previous pulsar, but that set the standard for me. 5. 5th gear is starting to be a problem. Every now and then have to try and put it in more than once on a gear change.6. Dragging park brake.7. Heat shield rattle. They tightened up it's bolts, but the rattle is back again.8. Diff clunk is well known. Noise level seems to be down after they "tighten the rear end" but it comes back. I can almost live with this.9. Seat Belt retraction problems. They blames the fact that it got dirty. My dad's 1988 Mazda E2000 hasn't ever been cleaned and it's seatbelts retract properly. My pulsar never had the seatbelt problem. Poor design more than likely.10. Drink holder lid "lock in" thingy fell through it's hole. Also opening the lid of the drink holder is getting pretty bad. Again poor design, dust causing havoc.11. Vibration in steering at low speeds.12. The rough idle issue when the motor is cold (assuming choke on). Revs up and then almost stalls. Doesn't happen everytime. 13. Engine died once when braking. Luckily I was able to stop the car before hitting another car. Another 30 or so cm's and Ford would be getting a letter from my solicitor.14. Just adding this, so I'm not on the unlucky. Dunlop tyres from the factory. They are crap. I'm gladd they have all worn out and I am now using Michelin Pilot Preceda tyres and they are fricken amazingly grippy and pretty damn quiet in my opinion. Not a problem, just a fact. Thankfully, I have no diff whine. The Michelins proved that (that's how quiet they are IMO)One good thing could be said though. Got my first wheel allignment after 37,000 and the bloke at the tyre place I go said it was only out by 3mm. He was pretty amazed actually. Falcons have a very bad rep in regards to this apparently. My dads Suzuki Vitara has gone 150,000 km. It's been bush and airbourne and everything. It had it's first ever wheel alignment at 120,000 and it was only out by 2 mm Car's going in to service in a week or so, for 2 days to rectify these issues. Hopefully they will be solved. If the vibration issue isn't fixed and the oil issue isn't fixed/explained, I more than likely will never buy a falcon again. Will have to wait and see however. Granted I did have an issue with my Pulsar SSS. 2nd gear would bump out on decelleration. Gearbox went bye bye after a while. IT was later found that the engine mounts had sagged signifcantly, because of my lowered suspension (bouncy bouncy) and replacing these solved the issue after the gearbox change (1st gear skipped out after the change, but after fixing the engine mounts, the problem went away). The gearbox change which was sorta under warrenty even though warrently was over by a month or two. I had to pay the labour however, but the parts were free (thanks nissan). '03 N/A has had some of the usual problems identified:*‘shh shh’ noise coming from wheels (handbrake) - fixed with adjustment on the 2nd attempt by dealer.*exhaust heat shield rattle on idle - fixed by tossing exhaust and getting extractors + new 2 1/2 in system.*Car stalls, and often at traffic lights or when coming to a stop ) - reset base idle, stalling stopped.*Car will idle very roughly and RPM drops like its going to stall ) - reset base idle, still a bit rough but improved.*Steering wheel shudders excessively when turning at low speeds - dealer says no fix its a characteristic of the car.And:*B-pillar plastic shroud fell off - replaced under warranty.*Radiator bolts holding electric fans stripped (during production), fan shroud loose - dealer fitted new bolts.*Side air bag replaced after warning light came on.The dealership has been great but the Ford factory quality control leaves a lot to be desired. Where is the option for ZERO problems old chap? You are forgiven. The only problems my car has are design flaws:1- power windows buttons not illuminated and (2) no footwell lighting!<{POST_SNAPBACK}>you are blessed with a t that is flawless, its not that I dont love the t, its design is good but its application was poorly executed.....................ford!
