:crybaby:

I must say I havn't had any probs with my clutch.

I think FPV should be disgusted with themselves for even allowing this clutch issue to become relevant. I also think that the Clown responsible should have no job to come back to in the new year and so should not Mr Flint. All this publicity re the clutches (motor had a drama in the 1st Typhoon they tested against the GT and the HSV) and this happens. If I was CEO of Ford, Prodrive and or FPV heads would roll. I have 20 staff across Aust and if any of them performed like this they would be gone quick smart :gooff: . Flint runs FPV and like the disasterous effort from FPV in the touring car rounds the buck should stop with him. I hope this hurts them and hurts them bad they deserve it. To top it all off, if you ring FPV once you get to the phone room, the Corolla driving twits like 3 ford dealers in Perth no nothing about it. Writeups in National newspapers etc and yet their own staff don't know anything surprise, surprise. Also the same 3 year old 100-110 diff howls are evident, but they don't replace them any more as they have a fix coming SOME TIME soon. Even though I have bought one and it appears to be a good car presently if I had known this I wouldn't have bought it, and at the moment I wouldn't advise anybody to buy one because I CAN FEEL A DRAMA COMING ON

I think perhaps Mr Flint should move to Vladivastok and take up residency as the CEO for LADA, because that apperas to be on par quality wise as these cars which they have had 3 years to get right.

HANG YOUR HEAD IN SHAME MR FLINT :w00t2:

ROFL! No need to insult LADA like that! They rival Ford's build quailty at times :crybaby:

The flat sh*tfting excuse is pretty weak though. An AP Racing clutch should be able to handle hell and then some, trust Ford to stuff that up too!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

They are blaming it on a circlip, point is they have known about this for ages and have either given motoring cars out with the KNOWN fault, or they really just don't care. My bet is on number 2

Still regardless of that NOT GOOD ENOUGH FPV :spoton:

That's exactly right, and as an owner you shouldn't put up with it! It's simply not acceptable for a car that is marketed as a sports car to come undone during "spirited" driving!

Can someone tell me what FPV have done (exclude the typhoon and motor sport) over the last 3 years?

I'm yet to see anything.... They get payed for what?

What happened to always improving, always researching, etc??? Going beyond what is required? CUSTOMER SERVICE?

What happened to business ethics?

Or did they never have this to start with...... ? It is a bitter sweet time to be a Ford fan.

I reckon you should be on the 'dog and bone' to Mal now Doc, put your order in son as he will be flooded with orders soon.

Unfortunately us plebs are not privvy to FPV's or Ford Aust's balance sheets, because I would be interested to see what colour ink is being used at the bottom of the last page, if it's the same colour as my car then these bogans running these companies need to be strapped to their production lines and all the bits that make up their product need to be inserted through their sphinctre muscles very roughly.

WTF is happening there in Fordland??? I have owned a Toyota Supra, had it 3 years, not one warranty issue, never missed a beat, stuck like :buttonit: to a blanket and was a pleasure to own. EID has got a 2002 Celicia, again not a bloody thing has gone wrong with it, OK you have to wring it's neck to get any performance out of it but again she has not had any issues with it. Bought a EL XR6 only problem I had was the camber was out, which the local Tyre bloke fixed as Ford pulled a shonky and only fitted the camber kit on the drivers side (as the passangers side was too difficult to get to).

Bought a XR6T, new gearbox after 8,000kms and brake shudder.

Upgrade to their supposed flagship, brakes that squeal like a de-nutted pig (fixed now but), clutch is just good enough, stalls occasionally and then idles at 2000rpm until I switch the car off and it's fine for awhile, and it's using about 1ltr oil per 1000kms. So it goes on FPV Oil Watch for 3,000kms to be checked every 1000kms with the dip stick and sump plug sealed. 1st and 2nd inspections with yours truly in attendance when they unsealed the dip stick she has used 1 lt each time, go in for the third inspection being told that the mechanic will get to it in about 15 mins, so I duck over the road to return a couple of rented DVD's, get back and surprise, surprise they have done the inspection and lo and behold it's only used 750mils. Fortunately the mechanic had resealed the dip stick. Get a call from FPV, guess what, they are not going to do anything as it looks like it is settling in at friggin 14,000kms!!!!, what are these rings made of fu ckn Titanium?????

So it's back in at 15,000kms for it's next inspection and I will definately be there and I will lay London to a brick that it will have used 1lt. Will be interesting to hear their excuses then.

But, all that said I still love this car and it is a horny, fun car to drive but the gloss is starting to tarnish.

End of rant, also my fingers are hurting and the throat is as dry as the inside of an Arabs sandshoe so it's off to the shed and the beer fridge.

Those Twin turbo Supra's are a bloody good thing!!! Not that I'm biased or anything  Sorry to here you feel let down by Ford/FPV as Doc appears to now. Gee how attitudes can change in only a few days

I must admit sometimes I wonder if the newly introduced passion by Ford and FPV over the last few years has left the country with Geoff Polites. I feel he was the driving force behind giving Ford fans what they wanted and something to be proud of. He understood the importance of bragging rights within the Australian Muscle car market. From an outsiders point of view, I've never really been convinced (with exception of the T3) that David (Flint) truly understands this and the results show in the FPV products.

We buy Ford performance car because we love the brand, they are technically very good generally and the cars performances are effectively good enough. There comes a time however when good enough is not enough anymore and this is something I think HSV better understand at the moment.

Doc, money talks and bullsh*t walks. If you honesty believe FPV have let you down and HSV has something better to offer then there no better way of demonstrating this than going to the competition. Just make sure you let FPV know.
