Im sick of them, I don't have a coin section in my wallet all coins go in my cars ashtray. I always am left with 5c peices and can't use them anywhere. I never remember to take them with me to buy a coffee or something so I reckon they either let u use them in parking meters or ge rid of them.

By law if you tender correct change, you can't be refused service. This means you can buy a Ferrari Enzo in 5c pieces. As long as it is CORRECT weight...

I think the auto machines however are a different story.

You are right JJ_Phantom. I found the details about this on the FAQ page of the Royal Australian Mint website. Basically, you can use up to 20c worth of 1c and 2c coins, $5 worth of 5c, 10c, 20c and 50c coins, and 10 times the face value for $1, $2, $5 and $10. There is no limit for the rest ($20, $50 and $100).

I voted get rid of them, but I guess the real solution would be to make parking/vending machines accept them. And yes I do beleive people will round up.

I will offer an even better service. I will accept any currency, not just 5c coins. If your wallet/purse is getting too heavy because of the coins/notes in it, just send them my way! :crybaby:
