Gday all,

I am just wondering if anyone has had any problems with the centre wheel piece (the bit that has Ford on it). I had one fall out at about 9,000 kms and in the last month or so the other 3 have all come out (about 15,000 on the clock).

I noticed that they only have plastic clips holding them in and on all of mine they have broken away.

I know that it isn't anything major, but hey it looks  house without them.

Cheers

Wiggy

I had one come loose and rattle around while driving. Was very annoying. I haven't actually had one come off though. I know of other people that have had them come off or come loose, so it would seem to be pretty common.

On a positive, the dealer should replace them under warranty. Mine did.

we had 2 come out in one day/night, and this was after we had the car for more then a year...

so it was pretty obvious somone had stolen then, but funny thing is that thee was no damage (scratches, dents etc) to the wheel where the centre cap goes... I meanj really, what odds are that 2 of the 4 centre caps could fall out in one day/night...

so just keep an eye on where you park your XR at night time...

I lost about 6 in 2 months, they must have been faulty.

1 just dropped out as I was backing down the drive.

Anyway, ford replaced them all under warranty.

I have lost 2 and was sure that kids around the Gold Coast where pinching them as the new ones I fitted were not easy to get in at a cost of $16.30.. The new ones are fitted with silicon and no more problems..
