Yes, written by me. But in that thread you will see I updated it and I think you have the earlier version. They reason I updated it was due to emails I got asking for detail I purposefully left out because it would cause too many people to get excited

The way I tell most people to run in their engines and the way I do it varies a little for a few reasons. Some people dont feel right doing it the way I do, and also arent atuned to their engine enough to do it properly.

Suss out that thread I did and read the updated version.

Dynowog, if you want to write your own guide to running in an engine, fine.

But please do not simply steal something I have written and make a few superficial changes.

Its called plagiarism.

Its also called copyright violation and is against the law.

Aha, thanks for that intellectual input to the thread. Well valued and I dont know where we would be without it.

My point is simple. I took the time to write something in quite some detail.

Genius comes along, clearlyimplies it has major errors, makes a tweak of about 5 words out of 500, and then says this is how to run in your car.

As I said, I wrote it, and I have every right to say him re-using it like that is inappropriate.

Are you one of the DW joy boys or something? Not even sure why you have contributed...if you want to stretch and call what you wrote a contribution.

707 posts eh? Looking at what you write it must be what, a total of 1400 words or so?

Its people taking the time to write original content here that make this place worth visiting. Not the scribblings of the "Me too" brigade who build up high post numbers but add little.

mickq as I said I meant no disrespect but cleared up a bit more than 5 word and deleted a few too!!!

you may even be a better mechanic than me but I have built over 300 engine's and it has only been when someone used some of the suggestions in your original post that there were hastles!!!

the rest was well said and even resurched!!!!

pls don't take offence as I don't want the glory just to see safe practice to be suggested for the members sake!!!

Mickg relax …in fact you should be proud of the fact he only had to add or edit a few words to make it better… better is only an opinion and no matter who would have wrote it everyone will have differing views on it so I’m unsure what all the fuss is about…

Do you agree with the changes the wog made or not?

I’m sure he wont mind if you use his editing...if its better!!
