I reckon its just mega high revs that can bugger an engine when new. Load the thing up all you want, just really limit yourself to staying away from 5000rpm (ie, keep to below 4750). Leave the real top end for when you get up to about a grand on the odo.... Then do what you want!

I was once told by an engine builder 'Run your engine in hard if you want to get the best from it'. has always worked for me.

Now at around 1400kms and driving it harder everytime I take it out :makedeal:

Ran in the F6 the same way the the XR6T. Nice for the first 500Km - thet means under 5000rpm and 200km/h. From 500-1000Km let it know what its in for. After 1000km drive it like you stole it! :blink:

I've always done the drive it like you stole it thing with new cars and never had a probelm. Found that the cars are always at the pointy end of the field performance wise compared to the same models so I think my run in helps.....
