Do a search mate, plenty of topics on this.

Common search strings include:

"Running in techniques"

"GADAN Approved method of running in"

"Cro says drive it like you stole it"

"Ask Cro"

"Cro got more power"

"Cro has a lead foot"

"Cro is a hoon"

You get the idea...

I have heard that Ford runs all engines for upto 5,000 klm and if holds up ok it goes into the car, otherwise it is scrapped.

Sheesh, where did you hear that? Did l hear someone whisper arsetalker :smilielol:

If you do a search you should be able to find heaps of info on this.

Just out of curiosity, do you guys think towing a largish trailer(2X4m car trailer without a car) for the first 1000 odd k's will have a bearing on this run in performance?

The engine will be laboring quite a bit and constantly changing revs/speed.

Just thought I'd get some input on it.

I pick it up on the 18th, and have to move 550k's north the following weekend. that's all.

hey guys,

how are we all? picked up my car on friday, its a vixen xr6t... I f'n love it!!! im already hearing noises though.. it pisses me off.. I don't know if I'm just been paranoid or what??? anyway I just wanted to know how people's experiences have been regarding the longrun reliabilty of the car (diff clunks etc) with respect to the way the car was initially run in - just to see if there is any relationship here. ie. are more problems associated with those "treated mean" from the beginning or vice versa.

cheers

ps. ill post some pics soon :crybaby:
